I know there's always a time when you wake up feeling so lazy yet in your mind you know you need to do a lot of things (whether important or not). I'm feeling that today...I just feel so lazy standing up away from my bed and do the necessary things I need to do for the day... instead I end up opening myLot and posted this because I wanna know HOW DO YOU OVERCOME THIS FEELING OF WAKING UP LAZY AND GET DOWN FAST WITH THE THINGS YOU NEED TO DO FOR THE DAY?? I mean, really, drinking coffee doesn't even work for me considering I'm a coffee drinker addict... and it's not about getting so late to sleep that I end up waking up tired...I woke up not tired, just feeling lazy and yet there's so much things in my mind to do. I wake up lying on my bed for about 2 hours just thinking 'oh I think I should do this... oh, no, I need to go to... ah, maybe I'll start by..' and yet I did nothing at all.

I remember those kinds of days, they were not fun.

I felt like that the other day. Got up feeling totally groggy, didn't want to get out of bed even though it was 10am, then sloped about in my dressing gown all morning! I think there is just certain days when you feel so down especially in the winter, its dark outside, its cold and the quilt cover is so much more appealing! I am a coffe drinker too so it doesn't affect me any more. The thing i do is if i have to be up with a ton of things to do, before i go to bed i set out my coffe cup ready and fill the kettle, i also put my clothes out for the day on the radiator to combat the cold! If i feel organised in the morning i stress much less than i normally would therefore have a more present morning getting myself motivated.

Oh yes, it's harder to get motivated when it's cold and my bed is so warm.

i experience it sometimes as well... i wake up in the morning and don't feel like doing anything... just want to stay in bed and lazying around for the whole day... what i do when that happen is i just have to force and motivate myself to get up... i tell myself that i will reward myself with something (like ice-cream) if i get to accomplish at least one thing that i need to do for that day... i know that this sound childish... but this works for me... take care and have a nice day...

That is a good motivation to kick my butt out of bed... reward myself! hehe... I really havn't thought of that at all, maybe because there;s so much to think of about things to do for the day. Maybe it'll work for me if I start saying to myself "Get up and do this then buy yourself a good stuff after". Thanks Lingli.

There are times in our life that we just felt so lazy and don't feel like doing anything at all. Although we know that we need to do something important and we need to get up and keep moving. Are you burned up from your job? If you are this could also be one reason of finding no reason to get up and do what you have to do.

Jobs can do that to you especially if you do not like the people you work around.

I know the feeling, is just one of those mornings, that you know you have to get up and get a move on things, because you have so much to do in so little time and you mind knows what you have to do, but you're body doesn't want to cooperate. Then you tell yourself a few more minutes and minutes change to hours and when you finally get a move on you sometimes don't even complete your tasks for that day. No matter, what you do which is wash your face to wake up, coffee or anything with caffine for that matter works. I kind of like and hate those days. I like them, because those are the days your body actually really tends to relax but I hate them because then you sometimes regret the fact that nothing got accomplished so it's a win loss situation.

To me it's never a loss. Some days I can't get moving and other days I'm up and ready to go. I just follow whatever my mood is

I know that feeling. It happens to me frequently too. Coffee is not an answer for me either. However, I am usually able to overcome this problem anyway. Finding a good motivation and starting off slowly is a must. You need to push yourself into doing something - even if it is not on your list. I usually start with taking shower, shaving my face and similar activities and then choose some other task I am relatively comfortable with. Then I move onto more complicated and less pleasant things I need to do. Anyway, the point is to start some activity and then remain active and preferrably move onto the things you should do that day as soon as possible.

I tend to be lazier when it is cold but in warm weather I am up and ready to do something, anything.

I am feeling lazy this morning too, but I still have to make it to work. I just can't be that lazy when comes to make money. I have million of things within my mind, and I have to do so much too. Well, that is human nature isn't it? Eventually, we have to overcome this laziness within ourselves.

I always start my day waking up in a lazy manner. I know that I have lots of works to do but my mind keeps pushing me to sleep again. It happens always until I changed myself. Whenever I wake up, there will be two choices that will immediately enter my mind. A negative and a positive one. My positive choice is "when I start fixing myself and get ready early, I will be enthusiastic in my work" or my negative choice which is "when I sleep again, I will be late to work and think of sleeping all day." This became my daily routine.

I always feel lazy when I wake up. Always, no matter the hour. But if I have things to do that day, I pull at myself and literally force myself to get up. And in a few minutes I'm fine and full of energy. I think the secret is to make a small effort of will. I almost never drink coffee, and I don't even fill I need it if I manage to keep my brain busy until bedtime. It's just that I enjoy sleeping so much...:)

I know how you feel. I woke up this morning feeling lazy. I have not left my bed today yet. I have gotten up but instead of doing what needs to be done I have found myself sitting on my bed on the internet. One thing that helps me to get going and moving is to take a walk. Since you are feeling lazy you have to force yourself to get moving in some sort of way but after doing so you might not feel lazy anymore. It is like giving yourself a kick in the butt to get the day started and after awhile you dont feel lazy anymore. Getting out of the house in some sort of way helps me sometimes in general. Get the blood flowing.

I wake up lazy every day but because the dog needs to go outside and the cats are getting yansy I have to get up. Once up I'm not lazy anymore and can immediately go online to do my stuff on different websites before coming to mylot to play.

if you always sleep late at night, then probably by morning you'll wake up being lazy. :D
