Felt crafts...

Stocking fridgie and heart tree - A picture of a couple of felt items that I made for Christmas gifts this year.

I have been busy this season making a lot of crafts of of felt. My favorite is taking five hearts, attaching them and making a tree ornament or fridgie by adding a magnet to the back. I am running out of ideas and websites and want to have some ideas ready to go, and start on for the next holiday season. Does anyone have any felt craft ideas that they could share?

I used felt to make actual stockings a few years ago. I made cowboy boots, tennis shoes and high top ladies type boots. They were really cute and well received by the people we gave them to (stuffed with stuff needless to say)

I did contrasting "tongues" on the shoes and ladies' boots, even got an eyelet maker to make the lacing.

i think bookmarks would be a good idea maybe with some beads at the top?

I don't know... I'm all crafted out at this point! Do you ever go to favecrafts.com? They have a lot of crafts of all kinds and most of them are easy to do. Maybe you could get some inspiration there.

I would also suggest you go to favecrafts. com as they have wonderful ideas for any type of crafting..in fact I did a bunch of their crafts for my holiday craft sale and sold them!

One thought that immediately comes to mind is to do similar to your trees except to connect that hearts in a round shape to make them into a wreath. That would probably be really pretty. Something else that my mother used to do with felt, yarn and bleach bottles when I was younger was to make Santa Claus faces that could be hung on doors for the holiday season. I'll see if she has instructions for those and then I could probably send them to you, I can't remember how to make them right off the top of my head.

I have thought of a round heart wreath too for next year. Bleach bottle Santa Claus's sound a little interesting! Thanks for the suggestions :)
