When I don't feel like cooking breakfast...

I usually make oatmeal or scrambled eggs for breakfast. I can add nuts and fruit to my oatmeal so it's a healhty dish; and I add spinach and onions and cheese to my eggs to make it full of antioxidants! This morning I just didn't feel like cooking either one. I threw a banana, a tablespoon of peanut butter and a small glass of chocolate soy milk in the blender and I was on the road in no time! It was great! It was healthy, light and fast! I just discovered it when experimenting a few weeks back! What's your latest healthy, fun and fast discovery?

Oh, that sounds really good. I don't usually eat breakfast and if I do it's usually some of what ever was left over from last nights dinner. I know, I know, thats bad.
Lately I find myself eating a lot of grapefruit and oranges. I really like the Ruby Red grapefruit from the Rio Grande valley in Texas. And the newest oranges are kind of small little things that have a red flesh like a grapefruit. They're from California but I can't remember the name. They actually do taste like a cross between grapefruits and oranges. Delicious.
We have also started experimenting with the different kinds of apples. We find we are really crazy about the Jonagolds and the Fugi varieties (very sweet). They are so much more flavorful than just your regular Red Delicious or even the Gala's that used to be my favorits. We enjoy the apples sliced and then smeared with peanut butter. I know... not as healthy or beneficial as your delicious sounding smoothie, but that's about as close as I can come to a healthy breakfast, quick and fun.

I don't think eating leftovers for breakfast is too bad! Of course it depends on what you had for supper! lol! I love pizza or spaghetti for breakfast too!

Right, I would have to say pizza or enchiladas is my favorite leftover breakfast. I can take them cold, right out of the fridge. I do know better, being a diabetic, but sometimes we just want what we want ;)

I don't eat oatmeal that often but I actually did have it this morning. I put blueberries on top of mine. I think I'll try that smoothie you made. That sounds delicious. One of the healthy things I created is a yogurt sundae for my daughter. I get a dessert dish and put a little bit of jelly on the bottom, then cheerios and then yogurt on top of the cereal, then a strawberry for the very top.

Yeah the smoothie is really good and easy to make! I like blueberries on my oatmeal too. If I don't put blueberries on it I like it with cinnamon and walnuts.

Hello Macdingolinger,
i've never done eggs with vegetables because my boyfriend doesn't like them that way and when i cook some breakfast i do everything for both of us.
One of my favorite breakfast is eggs with cheese and sweet corn. It is so delicious and i can eat that without bread. Only that way i feel good when i eat eggs, if i eat them prepared with something else, i feel heaviness and sickness a bit.

I'm glad that you are very conscious when it comes to your health, I seldom eat breakfast but when I do, I like Chili con Carne with hot tabasco sauce,2 bananas, and wash them all down with water.

That sounds very educational for me. I have traveled a lot to different parts of the world and have tried different foods of different countries and cultures. I myself is a very bad cook. Cooking is some thing I have never managed to do well. All I can do is boil water and make coffee at breakfast time.
Thank you.

I like your idea of breakfast. I like variety and change. These days I don't cook for myself because I have no gas available right now and I have to go to work at early morning so I eat at my company Mess. I like the combination which you mentioned above.

That is fast. But I'm kind of a health nut... how healthy are your quick breakfasts? They have all kinds of choices these days!!
