Is it just me being weird talking to myself in the mirror? Hold on! I'm not crazy or anything, just doing that sometimes to cheer up and boost my confidence every time I was having a job interview. Okay when having a date too. Is it normal? Have you ever talked to yourself in front of the mirror? Ohhh! Please say yes for I know not alone here. Come on! let's talk weirdness (???) LOL

Each day I rise from my bed I do talk to myself as to what my day is going to be like. I do mentally speak, sort out my plans and what I will be contemplating for the day.
I then walk over to the bathroom and brush my teeth, as soon as I am done I have been known to look in the mirror and speak out loud saying okay girl the days awaits. That is pretty much how much I will speak in front of the mirror, though I think it is my way of looking into my confidence and watching my facial gestures getting ready for the day.

Of course that is normal a bit weird but normal, anyone who tells you that in some point in time they have never looked at themselves in the mirror and had a converstaion with themselves is lying. I don't know how many times I have done that, especially when I was younger and getting ready to go out on a date or with friends, I also did that oftenly when I was preparing for an interview or for a presentation at school.

You are definitely not alone here my friend. I think it's normal for those who are nervous and anxious. I do talk to myself in the mirror when i have fear of facing a crowd, it's my weakness actually so a little boosting would really help. When i was still studying i do talk to the mirror when practicing my report. I want to see how i look or how i will be delivering my report. It helps a lot before so why not still do it now when having interviews like you, i too talk at the mirror to myself to boost my confidence to face the interviewer. And yes, i would say it still does work!

I will never do that because it sounds ridiculous. It's weird seeing myself talk in front of the mirror. Even if i want to boost my confidence for anything, i would prefer to talk to a real person in front of me, let them correct my mistakes. I do whisper to myself at times, and i'm already feeling uncomfortable, but it's inevitable when i'm in deep thoughts.

Hi there Sanitary,
Good to know your side thou. Well for me I don't bring anyone with me when having a job interview on date to cheer me up. So what I am doing is to go to comfort room and compose myself. I even wink to myself and say 'hey you're gorgeous'. LOL

I greet myself every morning in the mirror in the bathroom and tell myself what we are going to do today. That way I can remember better without having to write it down as I have a vivid visual memory.
Talking of memory, when I was talking to me, I don't remember you being there too

Hi. Lance26. I may not have done the things that you have done, but I will admit that I have talked to myself while I was in front of the mirror in my bathroom. I only do so because I am fixing my hair and I may talk about something that is heavily on my mind. I am sure that many of us have done this too. It is normal to have feelings of nervousness while you are reciting on what you may say on a date or an interview. I have seen guys, especially, do things like this and it is completely normal in my opinion. It is better to act out how you may say something, rather than to not to. This can help a person feel eased of any nervousness that they may have right before the date of the interview.
