i heard from the health and beauty news, that our feet becomes a little large at night,
so they said that its better to buy a shoes at night than in the morning,
i dont know what the exactly explanation of that,
but have you notice that your feet becomes a little large at night?
or compare the size of your feet at night and in the morning....

Feet tend to swell slightly, or retain water after a long day. That's the only explanation I can think of. In the morning, your feet are refreshed and rested and won't be swollen at all, so there could be a difference in the size you need for comfort.

Hello asliah,
I have not experienced this, but even i have heard something similar to this. I don't know if it is any different buying shoes in the morning and in the night, although i have never had issues with the shoe size fitting tight which i happened to buy during the day time. I always buy shoes comfortable and slightly larger than my foot to fit in the thick cotton socks, so it is always comfortable to me. I have heard another thing that both the feet aren't of exactly the same size. If you are buying a shoe, one might be a little tighter than the other.

Hi. asliah. I am not so sure if I have ever heard of this before. It may be true though. I know that I have heard from my grandmother that if a person that walks barefoot all of the time, will develop larger feet as time goes by. I wonder if it is true because my son's feet did grew a little bigger as he became older. But I still am weighing the options on this saying, still.

Its true, your feet do swell at night, its because they are filled with fluid and they have to generate throughout your body. They will return to their original size in the morning. They only swell, they don't lengthen. Its best to buy shoes at the beginning of the day and not at night since your feet are a slightly larger size.

My feet will never get bigger at night.
I live in a cold place and I am sure my feet is the same.hahaha
Sometimes it becomes smaller because it shrinks.
The blood vessels might have been constricted.

Yes, I heard about that and noticed that it is true in my case. Just a few weeks ago, I tried on shoes that were usually a size smaller than what I buy. It was morning, and I was surprised that it fit. Since it was the last pair I bought it. When I wore it at the noche buena mass, my toes were slightly protruding. Goes to show how hardheaded I can be.

Even I had heard of this before. But, I had not tested it before.
However, even the feet gets larger in night, it gets to same size in the morning right, so, I think there is no necessity in getting shoes in the night. But, it is better to get a shoe as large than your feet.

The reason our feet are larger is because like most have said here we are on them during the day. They also swell for those that have desk jobs because of the sitting position we are cutting some circulation from our legs.
When we get home and take our shoes off to relax, then need to put them back on to go to the store they are tight.. because they were able to swell without the confinement of the shoes.
At night when we lay down to sleep our body can now balance out our system because there isn't confinement of flow. That is when the swelling will go down, when we put our feet up, or we lay out on a couch for awhile..
I can see why it would be better to purchase shoes at that time.. good info

Well its a known fact that your feet if you are on them for a long period of time will swell slightly by nighttime. It may not be obvious to the naked eye but if you try on a pair of shoes in the morning then again in the evening the shoes are going to definitely feel different on the average person. Its just like if you take your shoes off during the day then try to get them back on its quite difficult due to swelling, that is the case with most people.

For me, it is a new info. I don't even know how better this term in scientific words. Perhaps it may be true. Even though it happens, we cannot make out the growth because the growth of our body part is not a one day's process. There may be reasons for it. If we think of it, we have to relate the fact how and why it happens. The day full of use of foot get an end at night (while sleeping). When we sleep, the feet cells may get rest and that time the process starts to develop. However, I cannot think how it can be happen at night time only.
Thank-s

aslikah oh its very true but it does not have to be at night, just in the afternoon as you have been on your feet all day at work and
feet do swell because of gravity letting blood and serum
pool in your legs and feet to some extent so go shoe shopping mid
afternoon and you will get a much better fit on your new shoes.
ask any doctor and they will tell you the same.

That does make sense as after pounding all day with our feet the feet tend to swell as we are apply all our weight on to them. I sort of knew about the swelling but not really correlating it to what time of day would be adequate to purchase them.
Thanks for the information.

Yes, the feet swells at the end of the day making it a bit larger than when it's in the morning.
Being that way, it is advisable that we buy shoes in the afternoon or at the end of the day since it will fit your shoes well. When you buy shoes in the morning , then it would be tight to wear for your feet at the end of the day when it has become a bit larger and your feet will ache and become sore.

I reply a smile and don't believe her. but when I got notice my feet got really hurt when at night. because the shoes that i bought is quit small.
