hello everyone, I only want to know if why does beauty is important? For example you are applying in to work? You need a pleasing personality it doesn't really matter if you know what really the product is as long as you are beautiful. And sometimes there is an instance that when you are beautiful the boss like you that is why he accepted you for the work. Is it really matter most now? What is more important you have pleasing personality but you don't have any knowledge? or it is much important the knowledge first before your beauty? hmmm I keep thinking about that.

Sadly, that is true that pretty women will get the job before a non-pretty woman will. YOunger will most likely get the job before an older woman will. THey don't really care about experience, it is more how little salary they will pay. Younger women will usually work for less since they don't have the experience older do, and they are willing to put the other employees in teaching mode and train the new hire so that they can get someone at a low salary. They also don't think an older woman will "stay" with the company as long as a younger one will. Beauty and age...that is all most look at. How do I know? Been there, done that on both levels... and also as a new hire AND one doing the hiring. I didn't hire, but I was asked to give input on who to hire. But..beauty and age was more important than experience. Sorry to say, but it is true. Now granted, some employers might not be this way, but generally speaking...most are.

hello thanks for your response, Oohh? I am really sorry for what happened. But well it is really unfair for old woman who has the ability to share there old Ideas than the new beauty one? right?. Maybe they think that the old one will not get to longer to there company and perhaps they like the beauty of the fresh and younger employee.

No, it means a woman boss will hire an older woman and most certainly one that is not as pretty as she is and a man boss will hire the pretty younger one cause he likes to look and thinks so does everyone else. Knowledge and skill play a small part these days. I have seen it happen to many times.

It does matter if you are a product endorser. What do you think? It is really a discriminating factor that some employers go for this as one of their checklist.

most people would attract to see beauty people. they often take the beauty to sell like in sales person girl or boy. we can't deny that even we are not attract to a product, we can attract to the sales person

Well when it comes to beauty in the work place it should not be importaunt, in fact hiring someone because of the way the look is considered a form of discrimination. But unfortunately its the reality of many society's in the world, look at nature take or consider birds for example some birds mate according to which female or male bird has the most attractive feathers. And there has been some studies done on the human brain that shows that we have heightened pleasure activity in the brain when viewing pictures of attractive people, I think its ingrained in us to to lean toward people who are pleasing to the eye. is it fair no, is it right no, but thats the way it is who knows why we could say or blame the media or whatever but I think people have been having this reaction to beauty since the beginning of humanity. Lastly you would think after all these century's that man and woman would learn to use more logical and fair thinking especially in the work place but sadly there are still many people and jobs bosses in the world who still dont use self control or fair thinking and still discriminate on people baste physical appearances rather then qualification's and the persons experiences.

Beauty is only as important as we make it. We often feel that we need beauty to become important for us because it will make us feel better about ourselves. e may think the world will see us in a much kinder light if we have beauty to shine.

There are situations where beauty prevails. There are also persons who give higher priorities to beauty. But the real beauty is your personality. I have seen a beautiful girl with an ugly mind in my college. I still remember her as a very unholy person and I see nothing beautiful in her anymore. Beauty can cover up the true YOU but not for long. But beauty, sometimes influences your decision which is totally bad. If you are beautiful everything you'll be saying will seem charming to some people and their judgement will be a highly biased one. But then whether you will get that admiration for long will depend on your true nature.

hello tiina! Human beings are visual creatures, especially the men, so it is no wonder why beauty is regarded as important, even revered by some. Who doesn't want to see beautiful women and men around and instead wants to see ugly people? Anyway, in the field of work, it really depends on the kind of industry a person is applying for. If she is applying for a cosmetic, promotions or showbiz-line industry, it is but natural that beautiful people are preferred than those who are not. In our world today, the definition of beauty has also changed. One could be beautiful because of make-ups and other artificial enhancements, or one could be beautiful because of her pleasing personality. Having a pleasing personality does not really mean that you are physically beautiful. It means that even if you have average features, but you're always smiling and your face seems to radiate the goodness, warmth and beauty within you, you could be called a person with a pleasing personality, more so if you have a genial attitude and overall good/polite/courteous personality. Nowadays, it is important for someone who wants to have work to be well-informed, knowledgeable and have a pleasing personality at the same time. You don't have to be super-beautiful to have a pleasing personality, you can enhance your features and develop the good values that pleasing people have and you will have a pleasing personality in no time.

Well beauty is skin deep. u need to have a pleasing inner personality to look good from outside. i think HRs see that. the style and look from inside, they don't entirely depend on the outside look. of course u have to dress up presentable and be neat. but make up or hair styling with out any inner glow won't work anywhere.

Beauty always wins. How many politicians, major sportsman and wealthy men have an "ugly" wife? The same can be said for the hiring process. People can say its about the job at hand and what is needed, sales, marketing, whatever, but it comes down to who people like to hang around!

Yes, I think that Knowledge is first than beauty. Because you can always have beauty but knowledge is a gift you earn with your life. Unless that you are always getting bugged about your beauty then probably you think beauty is more important. But just think about it. Your beauty comes from the inside and if someone tells you different then they don't know how life really works.
