That's right, I am tired of hearing them saying, " THIS IS MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION" and then nothing has change. They are the same or what they do is just the same as before they made that resolution. This is the reason why, I don't want to hear it. Even me I am not announcing what I want to change for another year in my life.I will just do it. What about you? do you have new years resolution every new year?

I used to make new year resolutions. Well, I still do but I try to make just one here and there that wont take a whole year. I used to make several but never reached them because I normally made too many or unrealistic resolutions.

In the year 2011, it astounds me that people are still even bothering to make New Years Resolution. Ninety percent of the time, they are doomed to failure almost right out of the gate. I'm not going to resolve to do anything for a New Years Resolution. Unless I plan to fail absolutely. Then obviously that would be when I make a resolution. However, I do not really plan to fail, so no New Years Resolutions for me.

Old habits are hard to break, that's why when people say what their New Year's Resolution is, they're practically just saying something that's going to be a lie after a year. It's great to achieve something though and having a New Year's Resolution could be a great help for that. After all, it's just another way of planning your future.

I always make 'em, and I always break 'em. I hereby resolve not to make New Years Resolutions. Thanks, Bebs, you've shown me the light.

i can understand what you mean because i am one of them... i make new year's resolutions every year but i am unable to keep them... so nowadays i try to act more rather than talk... because NATO (no actions, talk only) is no use... actions speak louder than words and it is the end results that are more important than anything... take care and have a nice day...

No, I don't ever make new years resolutions, because I know I won't stick to it. People usually make them every year, and it probably always has something to do with getting healthier or losing weight, and most people don't ever stick to it or get it done. Kudo's to the ones who do, but I know me, it sounds good, but I usually can't do it..haha.

I don't make New Year's resolutions; I don't want to put that kind of press on myself trying to live up to them. I just do what I am going to do to change things that I didn't like last year and if I succeed I will be happy, but if I don't succeed nothing lost. I do think that we have to try to change things and some people need to place the press on themselves even if they fail again this year.

Precisely!. that's why , this year I did not tell anybody about my so called plans. Though I have plans, of course, but i'd rather keep it to myself than announcing it to the whole world only to realize that I had done nothing and changed nothing at the end of the year.
Besides, no one really cares if I have plans or do not have one at all. I mean, it is my life and they can not do anything about it.

Good Day!
Yes, me too. I'm tired of hearing them especially friend. Her new year's resolution is to stop smoking but she still smokes. Nothing has change in her. :)

New year's resolutions change too much. they come and go like the wind. I don't put a lot of stock into someone's new year's resolutions. the chances are it won't be kept.

I totally agree with you on that 1.
I really hate people that say, this new year I will change i wont do that and that but nothing happens. Thats just a way to show how laisy people are, never agree with someone who says tomorrow im gonna change because if he really wants to change he/she will change at that moment. Its like if your parents offered you a car of your dreams and you could drive today, would you only drive tomorrow?
That totally shows that people don't wanna change, when they give a date to change instead of the moment now.
Thanks for reading :)

Hello Bebs, i've never done new year resolution and i'm bit tired of reading people, who post that kind of topics in different ways.
I got a notebook with schedule how to reach some of the most important things in my life. First of all is money, i got my own ways for online earnings and the amount what i make is not perfect, but is good for one modest life. In that notebook i write expenses, bills, monthly income and i check if everything is paid or which money where will go. That's better for me than every kind of resolutions, because it gives me wonderful idea where i am with the money. Of course money are not the most important thing in the world, but we need them for everything, so we can run away of that. Nothing else is written there, because if i got money to live calm and better, the change will come alone.
