I tthinl to work as a volunteer at library. Why? I don't konw exactly why. Maybe because I want to make something different; and I like books - I like their smell. Is it hard to be volunteer? Do you work as a volunteer? You don't have satisfaction of your money, but I think I can enjoy doing this job.

I volunteer 20 hours each year at a nearby library because they will give me a borrower's card for free if I do. I don't actually borrow any books there but I do use their databases.
I wrote an article about my experiences there at http://www.hubpages.com/_38opkgokthrt1t/hub/my-experience-as-a-library-volunteer. It was a lot of very hard and tedious work and while I always admired the work librarians do, I have much more respect for them now!

I think it would be fun to work at a library too! I love to read, and I love books. I haven't read much lately, but I do a lot of reading online. I have unofficially decided that this year I will read 52 books!! I haven't done any work as a volunteer, although I use to volunteer a lot when my older kids were in school. I did volunteer to walk some dogs earlier in the summer...and that was fun. I could spend an entire day at the library or a bookstore, because I love to look at a variety of books. Interesting topic, thanks for starting this discussion :)
