He is a trip. I loved Bruce Almighty. I think that was his best so far. Would be intresting to see him do a serious movie tho.

I think he's funny, but a little over the top. I really wish I could like him, as he's got that "likeability" (did I just make that word up?) about him, but I just can't get into him.

I think Jim Carey gets carried away. I believe he is succussful only because his viewers think he is. If you want funny people take a gander at the Charlie Chaplin, Jerry Lewis, the Marx Brothers, Laurel and Hardy, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello or the Three Stooges....they were funny without special effects.

Absolutely agree with you, Gifana! I tried once to watch on TV "Ace Ventura, pet detective" and couldn't stand it more than 10 minutes... Marx brothers are great, and you didn't mention Buster Keaton! And Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy!
