I had watched many of it, in that most of it was of social aspects. Recently I watched a one hour documentary film on child care. This short movie is named “Paz Janmam” (Worthless birth). This short movie it was really amazing may be to my taste. The Directors and team behind this film were students of Adayar School of filming in India. Even though it was short movie the direction, script, the acting and all the aspects were so well taken. I feel they have bright future. Moreover in present movie it is seen that most of the established actors and directors are controlling. May be movies lovers could taste a better films form these experimental short movies. Sometimes it would be like reading a novel and short story.

i agree ur view. movies based on social aspects,,In order to avoid media hype or for commercialisation, instead of depicting the real scenario a normal movie will just show it in a limited dramatic way ,the way people do not get offended. But a documentary movie shows almost everything dugged about the situations the movie is based on.whatever is shown in it is for REAL!! and plus a documentary movie workers never crib about low revenue. their soul aim is to send the message. I have been watching about 5-6 documentary movies about Norwegian black metal to understand what is black metal music all about!!

That sounds pretty interesting. I also love documentary films. I don't believe that most are on social aspects, but many are. A good one is "Strange Culture". It is about freedom of expression.

Yes. I know that I've seen it online, but I can't remember exactly where. Either megavideo or youtube. I know it was one of those.

I don't really watch too many documentaries, but sometimes I wish I did. I think they're a pleasant way to learn about different things, and sometimes the film-making can be quite good too. The last documentary I watched, Man on Wire, was just as entertaining as any (good) Hollywood movie, and gave some really interesting insight into the personality of the risk-taker.

I also like to watch the documentary films. I think most documentary movies are on social aspects.I do like to watch short film as I do not have much time to finish one long film after working. I need to look after my little daughter after work. I can learn more experience from the film if it contacts with the society more.

I love watching documentary films. It helps enhance your knowledge because it's based on reality. Super Size Me is one of favorites. After watching that documentary I refuse to eat fast food, well I still do once in a while.

Admittedly I've only seen a handful of documentaries. But I have to say that for some reason, over the past year and a half, my interest in them has grown a lot. I got one for free from an old friend back in October. I bought one yesterday on Amazon and should hopefully come pretty soon. And there are a few more I really want to check out. The one I just bought on Amazon deals with mental illness and stigma surrounding it. It was done by Joe Pantoliano, the man who played Ralphie on The Sopranos (who has clinical depression).

yes, my husband and i watch some documentaries together at night before we go to sleep. It gives us the opportunity to bond and give our opinion. We like those documentaries that deals on how the Mega Structures (Big Buildings) are constructed at the Discovery Channel. we also watch the Travel and Living Channel specially the Bizzare Foods. We get a lot of other knowledge from watching documentaries.
