We're heading out to eat tonight after we go to a meeting at my son's high school regarding PSAT tests. We have decided to go to Chili's because my son gave us a gift card for Christmas. We used to go there all of the time when we lived in California but haven't been there is quite a few years. What do you normally order at Chilis and what is your favorite meal there?

Mmmm.
I like the southwest eggrolls. It is only an apetizer but it is my favorite! They also have good mushroom jack fajitas.

It has been a long time since I went to Chili's so I am not sure of what I would get there. I remember that they have good appetizers and it seems like we had chips with queso dip once and I enjoyed it. I like soup this time of the year so I would hope that they have a special soup - broccoli cheese is one of my favorite!

I've never been to chilli's, but there is a place here in Canada called Swiss Chalet, and they are absolutely famous for their chicken. Walker and I love them, and we go there as many times as possible. The other night I had a craving for wings in the middle of the night, so I ordered some delivered here. :)

That's exactly where we fell in love with Chili's drannhh... in the Bay Area. Which Chili's did you used to go to there? I think the one we went to was in San Bruno... I think, not for sure. It was right down the street from another great restaurant we loved, called Pete's Diner or something like that. Very very good!

I LOVE Chilis. I never really ate there much until we moved to NY because our town doesn't have a whole lot of chain restaurants. They're very focused on local places. SO we do frequent Chilis a few times a month. One of my favorite things on their menu is the grilled Chicken Sandwich. They put swiss cheese and honey mustard on it. So delicious. Sadly I tend to get the same few things there so I haven't tried too many of their meals. I will say that I love how they offer corn on the cob there as a side! Oh and as for my hubby - he loves the fajitas! You'll have to let us know what you get. :-) ENJOY YOUR DINNER!

I should've ordered that! I ended up getting their crab meat quesadillas and didn't like them very much. My son tried a bite though and ended up bringing the leftovers home and he actually ate them for breakfast this morning! Ewwwww! lol The whole kitchen smelled like crab meat at 9am! Now, it's dinnertime and it smells like fish & onions throughout the whole house because my husband is cooking some concoction he likes. lol

I have not eaten at Chilis, It is too far away from here to go to easily. It is fun to use up the gift cards that we get as presents, though. I guess from the name they would have some well seasoned foods and I am sure I would love it. I always hear about the "baby back ribs" or rather that commercial has stayed with me a couple of years.

Me too! They have a nice atmosphere in their restaurants too. I have't been as pleased with them ever since they took the Awesome Blossom off their menu though! That thing was sooo good. If you don't know what it is, it is kinda like the Bloomin' Onion at Outback Steakhouse. Very good.

Oh, man! Now I want to go to Chili's tonight!
I used to order their Spinach/Chicken salad with their honey mustard dressing whenever I went, at least for the first couple of years. I was totally hooked on that dressing! It was the first time I had ever tasted honey mustard. (I now have honey mustard dressing, sandwich spread and dip ALWAYS in my fridge. )
My youngest son discovered their babyback ribs and has ordered them every time we've ever gone. After about three trips with him chowing down on those babyback ribs, I thought I'd give them a try and, oh boy! I was hooked!
So, it's very rare for me now to order anything BUT their babyback ribs. So messy but OH SO GOOD!!!

Babyback ribs sounds really good... but only if they are all beef. I don't like pork ribs. I like honey mustard salad dressing too, as long as the vinegar isn't too strong in the flavor because it makes me choke sometimes. I don't know, maybe my throat is extra sensitive or something. I can't wait to go. I think I'll look them up on the internet before we go so I can have extra time to look at the menu online.

I haven't been there is years. Last time I ate there I shared a rack of ribs with my friend. They were pretty good.

It seems like some places are really good in one type of food and not in another. That's too bad that you didn't like what you got. I like crab, not sure how much I would in a quesadilla though. Hmmm.

I'm actually not a huge fan of Chili's and can really only think of twice that we've eaten there since my husband and I have been married. The first time was at the airport in Miami, FL when we were coming back home from our honeymoon and we ate that because it was there and convenient (we'd alread returned our rental car). The other time we stopped at one in Bardstown after we'd taken the children on a train ride. We had fajitas and though they tasted pretty good, we had to send them back at first because the meat was pretty raw.
