I am a nurse and I can't help but eat from these fastfood chains like mcdonalds, jollibee, kfc, pizza hut, etc. Sometimes, I think I might get sick someday but the work really calls for eating. I am fond of eating but we don't have a company canteen. The shifting also adds up to stress. I know this isn't healthy but I can't do anything about it. Same with my workmates... what about you? Do you bring food at work?

I also like to eat in those fast food chains once in a while.
Like you, we don't have a canteen in our office, which is inside the mall. So, we are open to those fast food chain around us which costs lesser than those fine dining restaurants, in fairness .
But to cut more on lunch expenses, we bring food for our lunch. In instances, we weren't able to bring one, we let our utility man look for cheaper eating outlets , outside of the mall and buy our lunch . But when he is not round, that's the time we have no recourse but to order fastfood.

My hubby and I eat fast food on occasion. We typically eat it on the weekends if we're strapped for time and need a quick meal. More often than not, fast food ends up making us feel gross and sick, so we prefer not to eat it too often. As far as eating at work, I always take my lunch. I don't have the option of leaving to purchase lunch on my lunch break, so I have to eat whatever I bring with me that day.

I do not eat at fast food chains as a general rule. Every once in awhile I will go for a "splurge" and do so. They really are not healthy. However, they are hearing us and are starting to figure out ways to have healthier alternatives. Some actually have fruit and a few really have salads and veggies now!

I like to eat fastfood chains that you mentioned because most of the foods being served are delicious. But I only do it not so often because of health reasons. It may not be so healthy to keep on eating foods high in sodium, fats and cholesterol. During work, I bring foods that I myself cook. I prepare this food at night before I go to sleep so that in the morning it would not be so hassle for me.

I often enjoy eating from different fastfood chains. they are a quick and convenient way to eat when you are always on the go. It isn't something I need to do everyday but i do like to frequent them.

Yes, I also do not think that they are not healthy foods- but still, I eat them, maybe just 4-5 times a month though. You should bring your own packed lunch so you won't have to eat from them.. you could really get sick from eating instant foods.

Not really. Where I work there are plenty of restaurants that are not fast food places, that actually serve pretty good food, and I generally prefer to eat at those. So I rarely eat fast food.

This is a tricky situation you are in. You're a nurse & know about how important a healthy diet is, but you have a very physical & stressful job that you need to fortify yourself with enough food to make it through the shift. Therefore, what I'd do in this situation, is find the healthiest fast food place I can. Seeing you're spending roughly the same money & time just to go there & get it, you may as well make it the best it can be. What I'd do is to look up all the best vegan organic eateries in the area & starting with the nearest one, check them out to see if they can make what I eat. If not, I move on to the next one. This is what I've done with my work situation & now I eat better at lunch times than my evening meal at home!
I wish you all the best & hope it works out for you.

Hi reco! Have done that as well. I guess it's because I don't devote a little bit of time preparing my lunch when going to work that makes me think, "Ah, I'll just grab something to eat from a nearby fastfood or ring them up to make a delivery to the office so I don't have to walk". It's easy and "fast" as what they all claim to be. But yeah it is unhealthy I know and I seldom bring packed lunch at work especially when I've overslept the night before. I guess it can be just changing habits, allotting time to prepare meals and cook home cooked food instead of settling for fastfood.

Fast food chains are very convenient for me because I do not have the talent in cooking. I often call at Jollibee or McDonald's for a fast breakfast. I don't bring food at work always. I am only bringing some pizza if me or a co-employee celebrates birthday. I always treat my friends in these special occasions. Most likely, we eat in malls.

Eating in fastfood chain is okay as long as not everyday. It is not healthy to eat at fastfood everyday. It is better to bring food in your work for your breaktime if you have to opportunity to prepare it. It will save you a lot of money also.

well, food from fastfood chains come in fast and they are very accessible. to be honest, i am also fond of eating in fastfood chains but i know that it can be unhealthy because they serve oily, fatty foods. i am also a nurse so i can relate to you. if you are really in a hurry, then i think there's nothing wrong in ordering from these fastfood chains as long as you don't do it everyday.

Hi there!
Well due to time hustles and pressure, i can't bring my own food due to complicated schedules and stuff. Eating in fast food chain is not as good as it looks but sometimes, it's a life saver especially when you really are out of luck of falling in line at a canteen in a sea of people (students and staff) just to buy food. So to sum it up, I am not fond of eating in a fast food chain, but what choice would I have if I were in a tight situation especially during lunch time.
