eyes irritation because of eyeliner?

Is it an eyeliner you have never used before? The ingredinets use din certain barnds etc of make up can cause irritation. Stop using that kind and if you can go back to what you were using before. If its not new to you then maybe the comapny has changed an ingredient in it or something.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that you applied it right after taking a bath? Often times when you take a bath, the heat and moisture can cause pores to open up more than normal, so when you applied the liner, it might have sunk in deeper and cause irritation, or also, if the room was still steamy or your skin still moist form your bath, it might have cause it to run slightly and cause irritation. Other than those suggestions, i dunno what to add, well, unless you have either a) had any sort of eye infections lately, or b) if your eyeliner is really old. Both of those could possibly cause issues and can be easily resolved by replacing them with a new one.

hello asliah, My daughter has the same problem ans watches what brand she buys. She like cover girl the best because then it not red any sore anymore. I seen this with other ladies too. Sometimes it is bacteria get on the pencil etc... too Thanks and have a great day! Sincerely Unique16

I've experienced that when I applied my one and only eye liner who's with me for several years, I think more than 7 years. My sister gave it to me when I need make up for my job a warehouse store as a cashier. Since then I never got the chance to buy a new one, or I really don't care at all cause I only apply make up when I needed to or I felt I like putting on. My eyes got itchy so I think it must be the eyeliner.

i think you should change your eyeliner, buy a new one thats mild and with organic ingredients, like try skin food products and clinique, those are mild and very recommended to people with sensitive skin. and also never share your eyeliner with other people, always recap after using them to avoid bacteria from going into them. i have experienced that too once but it never happened again. good luck :)

i never used eyeliner everyday,, i applied an eyeliner once at my brother's wed,, and that made my eye irritated,, i think it depends on the brand,, or maybe you're just irritated those cosmetics,,

Greetings! Yes. It sometimes irritates eyes especially when it smears. Before, I always use eyeliner but my eyes are also becoming red that's why I stopped. I don't use eyeliner anymore unless I really needed but anyway, maybe it also depends on the kind of eyeliner. Try to choose eyeliner that would be best for you. :) Happy mylotting! :)

I guess you are sensitive to some products and one of those is what you have just used. It also depends as to whether you are using a pencil, liquid eyeliner or gel eyeliner. Most likely a liquid eyeliner or gel eyeliner can irritate because of some ingredients that were put into it. Yes, my eyes got irritated once by an eyeliner, because i accidentally have my pencil eyeliner slipped into my eyes. LOL

I think it is better to find an eyeliner which don't irritate you. I don't use because it is not into my fashion. Women around me put the eyeliner into their eyes.
