Hello everyone! I remember nervously going inside our school library when I was in my first year of college. We had libraries when I was in elementary and high school but I studied in public schools and we were not allowed to take books home so you can only borrow them and read them inside the library. When I reached college, though, the first thing I did was borrow a fiction book and it was "The Bridges of the Madison County". I love it and it became one of my favorite books. How about you? What was the first book that you borrowed from your school library? Did you like it?

hello, I started borrowing books from library when i am in highschool. Yes,i can still remember the first book that borrowed from our school library.. It's a NANCY DREW ...a detective story book. Every weekend i borrowed at least 3-4 books of NANCY DREW. It is only during weekends that we are allowed to borrow books that are not related to our text books. So,i always take the opportunity to borrow few books on weekends. Have a great day

Hi there Jaiho 2009! Thank you very much for your response. I have heard about Nancy Drew Books but I know that there's already a number of books in the series and sometimes, I don't like reading a book in a series unless I start from the first book. But I also heard that Nancy Drew Novels are good. I think that rule about borrowing books that are unrelated to your studies is also good because it helps the students stay focused to their academics but still gives them a chance to unwind through reading.

Wow! I can't remember that long ago..lol...I graduated in 1996 and never spent much time at the college library. I spent most of my time commuting back and forth between home and school. I do remember the first book that I checked out in third grade though at our school library...and that was a little house book by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Hi there Buggles! Thank you very much for your response. It's really hard when you can't find time to read anymore. I haven't heard of the book but I'll look it up just to have an idea. Hey Mezsalman! Thank you for your response too. Yeah, for some it's been quite a while and it would be hard to remember that kind of thing. It also happened to me once when I lost a library book. I just paid for it and also for penalty.

Hi there Mezsalman! Thank you very much for your response. I haven't experienced losing a book that I borrowed from the library but I have experienced not being able to return the book on time causing me to have to pay penalty for that.

Hi there Professor 2010! Thank you very much for your response. It is really important that we have libraries with lots of instructional and reading materials since it encourages and even inspires people to read. I guess your first book had interesting and fun trivia stuff.

Hi there Grazmanian Devil! Thank you very much for your response. It's nice that you had interest with books at a very young age. Was it something like Street Valley High?
