Should people name their pets with "human" names or fantastical names, like Mr. Whiskerdoo, Bazoomba, or Pitsnoggle? Should people name them common things, like Chair, Banana, or Death? Should pets have a name at all?

I think the best names for pets are Roman or Greek names, like Ares or something. Those names are cool and unique.

My German Shepherds were called Set, Shiva and Rocky (pretty standard). A friend called his dog Thief - that was funny.

I prefer human names. Makes it feel like they're more a part of the family. My African Grey is named Edward and he'll be the first to tell you "Edward is a good boy."
