3 months later and I still look pregnant.....

Its funny how on the covers of magazines or even on tv, Celebrity moms have babies and 3 months later they are walking on the red carpet and look as though they were never pregnant.
However in real life, 3 months later I am dealing with trying to fit in working out, taking care of the house and living on little sleep, and now dieting as well.... I am determined to lose my weight and get back in shape...this is my third baby and I have done it before, its just that I am older now and with 3 children now its harder to fit in "me time".
Have you recently had a baby and dealing with getting back in shape? How long has it been.... and are you doing well with it?

Yes. Even I have wondered how they do it. Maybe because of loads of money to get the care they themselves as well as their babies' needs? Hi bookreadermom. It has been three and a half years since my child was born and I still am trying to shed the ten kilos of weight I put on with no success. And with a big stomach which makes me look pregnant all the time. Oh! How I miss my earlier hourglass figure which was the envy of all my friends and relatives alike. Now I am the total opposite and the worst part is that no amount of dieting is making me shed weight.

devijay -I just saw a show on some of the celebrities that have babies and then do a bathing suit cover and they look great....only most of it is airbrushed to look that great. It is just depressing I agree!!! Luckily I like to workout, although it is winter now so at least I get to wear big bulky clothes while I fight to lose my weight, its just I am shaped so different this time. but with determination I will lose my weight, and hopefully by summer. If not that will be another discussion to bring up here.
thanks for the response and happy mylotting.

momof3kids- luckily I like to workout....but with it being winter it is harder to get out and walk, which I plan to do come spring....that was how I lost a lot of my weight with my older 2, taking them for walks in the stroller.
my son just turned 12 weeks and I am just starting my workout routines again...thanks to hip hop abs and zumba I have lost weight in the past, its just my body shape is very different this time so I hope that I will see results just as quickly as before.
thanks for the response and good luck to you in getting out to walk as well. happy mylotting.

Hey you are describing my state too. Its so depressing to see that I look so awful in clothes (dun even go to without clothes..lol..). Like book is experiencing, I do not have time for myself, now there is baby clothes to wash.
But I havent lose hope and so should you. I have recently made myself eat veggies and fruits when the hunger pangs come when they shouldnt. I think I should began walking. When I had the second one i had a babysitting job that requires me to walk to and fro a few kilos and that did the trick.
Perhaps that is what I should be doing instead of mylotting :(

Yikes! For me I think I gained even more when I had the third one back in 2009. I have bought carrots and apples to curb these hunger pangs so wish me luck!

that is so funny, we just got back from the fruit market and I bought bunch of veggies and fruit to get me through the week.
yes, diet and exercise will help out alot, I just have to be determined....the strange thing is I gained more weight with my first, less with my second and even less with this one because I knew how hard it was to lose after the first 2, but my body is just shaped differently which is depressing.
thanks for the response and happy mylotting.

I know it's hard to lose the weight after pregnancy. I think for the average person it takes at least a year for the weight to come off. However, as you get older the harder it is to lose that weight. After my first child I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight in about 6 months. Then after I had my second child it became harder to lose that weight. I'm still struggling with those extra 10-15 pounds and it's been five years.

Oh yeah, the older we get the harder it is to lose weight all together but add a pregnancy to it and its frustrating. With my first child, I wasnt in a hurry I figured the weight would just come off and it took me about 10 months to get back to normal completely...with my second I had her in January and was working out almost immediately, and by time she was 6 months I was back to my prematernal weight.... but this last one my body is just different and I still have what looks like a baby bump, I really still look pregnant.
Its will be 3 months next week and I just started working out again.... at least it is winter around here and hopefully by summer I will be back to my regular weight and fitting in all the cute summer tops I got from christmas.....
thanks for the response and happy mylotting.

Getting back in shape doesn't just require diet & workout. You also have to use girdle everyday, seems easy right? but nuh ah ah! Use your girdle everyday, the only time that you'll take it is when your going to shower. Use it for 1 month or more. It takes a lot of patience, especially when it's itchy, you will be dying to take it but don't. I did it, after I gave birth to my son, the following day I used girdle. Trust me, I'm a real proof in this fact.

oh I believe that too, I did use a binder for the first month and it was such a relief to wear it, it was the only way I could get around. It helped me so much with getting up and sitting/laying down otherwise it hurt so much with my c-section incision I couldnt move.
thanks for the response and happy mylotting!!

Dear Bookreadermom,Hello.. they can do that coz they have lots and lots of money :))) Well, I have a 13 month old baby now, and I'm still dealing with little fats. He is full b.r.e.a.s.tfeeding so I cannot diet. And I dont have time for work out..Well, he's kinda walking now, so taking care of him is an exercise already :)

Oh yeah, as they get older and more active we are busy running after them and that is a work out itself....LOL
once it gets warmer out...I plan to get out and walk him in the stroller, and I am getting in more workouts during the week, plus I gave up pop/soda for almost a month now....it took some time but I think I lost a couple pounds from that.
good luck to you and happy mylotting.

i suggest you to use hoola hoops, you know that round thing circling in your waist. this will get you back to shape, just use it regularly and drink lots of water.

I have heard of hula hooping as an exercise, I might see if they have them at the stores....it is winter and they may not carry them right now but thats a great suggestion. Thanks for the response and happy mylotting.
