Do you use something to keep your bed warm?

I never liked electric blankets, but a nurse friend of ours said an electric matress pad would help our aches and pains. She was right. It also lets us turn down the heat in the house a lot at night. I bought one for each kid, and grandkid.

I was having a lot of pain from arthritis so I bought one of those foam mattress pad covers...not the real expensive miracle foam or whatever it is called, but something less expensive. But it really helped my knees from aching every night!

That is good to hear. I might need one of those in the summer when I don't want the heaed mattress pad. Merry Christmas. Thanks for your response

That sounds like a great idea. I used to use an electric blanket, but when I got pregnant I sweat so bad at night that I took it off and just haven't put it back on. I'll have to put that on my wish list. Thanks!

I am happier with this mattress pad, but they are harder to find. I have know lots of poeple who use the electric blankets. It saves on heating the entire house.

No I don't. Well I have more than 1 blanket, but none of them are electric blankets or anything like that.

I used to feel so comforted at grandma's house, under lots and lots of heavy quilts, and no heat in the house. I was lucky not to have to turn on the heat.

That is a really great idea. Where did you buy them? My husband has a back problems and I am wondering if this would help him.

Penneys had them when I got mine. I ordered them online because we did not have a store. I am sure you can find one with a search. Also tell your husband to sleep on his side with a pillow between the knees--I told my husband this when we first met, and he is sold on it.

i use my wife to keep my bed warm, she is very good at it, Better than any electric blanket (costs more to run though, but she's worth it), keeps my bed nice n' cosy.

Yeah I had one when I was a kid. It stopped working or I would still be using it. I have asked for one for Christmas. I want one for my daughter (she's 10) and we have a space heater in my son's room (he's 6 months) so we are toasty at night and can turn down the heat at night!

No....not anymore. I used to have a waterbed and i could adjust the heat on that. Now I just use flannel sheets in the winter and icyhot on my skin if I have body aches.

Some people swear by waterbeds. I use a capsaicin creme--like Zostrix, instead of Icy Hot--it is made with the oil from hot peppers.
