I just realize 4 years ago I remember a policewoman chasing a bad guy on her uniform,She is kinda having a hard time to run while she is chasing the criminal.
her knee length skirt and high heels. I dont know what our government is thinking but it doesnt seemed to be functional and it kinda doesn't give them ease of movements. I know skirts and high heels makes women more feminine and pretty but they were not Flight stewardesses, Sales ladies, secretaries or runway models. they were freakin cops, they were supposed to be badass and prepared.

kinda $ucks albert but glad you were able to create a new account. anyway, hopefully, everything pans out right for you.
going back to the discussion, skirts really do not make much sense for policewomen unless they are working behind a desk. even though, i think policewomen are given the option what uniform to wear. pants do make sense what with all the potential running that they do on a day to day basis. lol!
seriously, as long as our policewomen are comfortable and can dispense their work with what they are wearing, i'm all for it.

lets say my account is filled with bugs, My cashout minimum is stuck at 50 dollars and I cant respond back to discussions. So i was forced to delete my old account to get rid of the bugs and I'm doing better now. Only 1 bug left, I lost the permanent sign in feature. I was auto logged out after 15 minutes but its much better than the multiple bugs.

at least I'm back and I have 10 stars again.
Speaking of discomfort I just realize our policemen are wearing leather shoes instead of boots designed for running or some sneakers. They were supposed to chase criminals with those shoes.

Hi CaptAlbertWhisker!
As far as I know, policewoman wearing this type of uniform are usually assigned at the home base(headquarters), probably as desk officer. I don't know if the one you have personally seen and experienced was just a special case since I usually saw policewoman wearing pants when they were assigned in the field, usually in traffic management.
Anyway I think the top officials of the PNP should ensure that policemen are wearing proper uniform and safety equipment that is appropriate or accordingly to their assigned duties or location. Just what you have seen, criminals will not be apprehended nor will be afraid to commit crimes if they know they have some advantages with the policeman.
Have a nice day!

The one I see arresting a criminal though is on field and not HQ though. I finally see some on field policewomen in pants so i do hope the ones in skirts are for HQ only. Since using their outfit in field is not practical.

That got me thinking for a while too. See, I'm a registered nurse and it's sometimes pretty difficult moving in an a-line skirt, stockings, and hard shoes. Some hospitals allow scrub suits with comfortable pants, "shirt", and rubber shoes, while others keep the old style. Then I saw some policewomen in our area (there's a police camp near our area) and it really makes me wonder too how they can run after a criminal in those. I believe PNP, though concerned about catching criminals, is also more concerned of their image thus making women in the police force wear such respectable uniform. But again, it's not really functional right? Lol

Maybe they can keep the skirt and get rid of the heels, though we cant deny heels makes women look good, Its not helpful in combat.

I think their attire is ridiculous. How are they going to run after bad guys with those high heels and skirt? I think it is also a discomfort to them. And the men are wearing black leather shoes too. Are cops dressed to look good? I think not, the police here are well dress.ready for combat.their are wearing sneakers which are best for running after criminals or bad guys.

Hello Angelic,
I don't see women going after bad guys in that uniform, I think these are used when they are on parade or crowd control. I have seen some women cops here who are actually wearing pants while on patrol with other policemen.
Albert, I think it's part of their requirement to wear leather shoes. But you're right, it would have been more practical if they have sneakers instead. Military boots can also slow them down when chasing bad guys since it's too heavy. Not to mention I used to have one during my CAT/ROTC days.

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me that male cops are wearing leather shoes instead of sneakers or military boots which will make more sense since we know its hard to run in leather shoes.
It makes more sense if female cops dress like this:

Yes most of them wear those, even the ones who does combat,I had seen news incident of policewomen confronting criminals in high heels and skirts. They also do crowd control in those outfits.

Very nice observation there and I agree with you. Wearing this kind of uniform on duty is more of a hindrance to prevent crime from happening. Although the dress can somehow be used on a much formal occasions. But for normal daily duty they should be wearing a more comfortable uniform that this one.

I agree.... Even the skirt would not help them either. This uniform may be worn only during formal occasions like awarding or any events that would not require them to run or anything. I think I see some policewoman on duty wearing pants instead of skirts.

This uniform may be worn only during formal occasions like awarding or any events that would not require them to run or anything - that should ONLY be the reason why they should wear that uniform and not use it on patrolthis is ridiculous.

Cops whether male or female, their lives are always in danger they have to be ready for any upcoming danger and i think shoes designed for running makes more sense than high heels for sure.

I think women cops wearing outfits like that is a really bad idea. Say they are on duty and have to go chase down some criminal. They will not be able to run nearly as fast with heels and a skirt of that length. Those outfits look fine like you said for a flight stewardess but not for a police woman. I just think thats impractical for them to be dressed like that.

yeah it fits more in an airplane than teh streets, I can understand though if they were policewomen meant for the office but I saw some of them wearing it while patrolling.

I saw female cops in pants and they can still look attractive and feminine on it if they want too without having to worry of her slippering on the floor because of her high heels. Its really impractical.

Hellomsinfo I am not sure what is the motive of women being in the miniskirt thing. Though it can be a bit sexy in a way but am sure they don't want the cops getting harrassed.i guess this is the first time I have seen a user taking notice on their uniforms and always on the performances. I wonder why choose blue when it should have always been the usual color. Have a nice day.

Hello Captain,
I don't know but i guess it's for formality sake, am not sure but they will change their mind in that mini skirt if rape happens on a female cop, which highly unlikely for now. i guess it was meant to attract attention and give a bit of lessen the tension most specially in the rallies where women cops are mostly put there for me, i believe this is to disguise their badasses and let the criminals underestimate them. that's the way it is, if you make them have pants, then they are also look intimidating like the men cops

I was inspired to make discussion because i randomly remembered the female cop chasing a snatcher in her high heels and mini skirt. I think even in riots and strikes were female cops are usually used, Mini skirts and high heels are still impractical. I know a female cop who said she broke an ankle before because she is wearing high heels in combat.

I still dont get why I still see some of them doign the traffic, controlling crows and arrestign criminals on skirts. I may accept the skirt part but I think the leather shoes for men and high heels for women should be replaced by either military boots or sneakers.

I also don't know. But i think they're wearing that because they're just working on the office. And the thing that you saw is maybe a coincidence that no one could chase the criminal so she has no choice to fulfill her duty. But i think they have a certain uniform which they wear when they are patrolling.

for the ladies ,i think the first concern is the functional scenario.if the women is going to be exercise or playing a sport, then i recommand long iust above the knee dress short with pleats.it is not right to wear short skirt to policewomens.those are modest still privide full moment .actually their are these thing called skorts that are actually shorts that look the skirts.those are really modest if you get them in a long enough lenghth.
for anythinh not active, then i think that ioose fitting slacks of below the knee length skirts are modest, but functionalst..loose fittinh jeans are modest but i dont like jeans because a women cannot expressed herself with colour

do you think a skirt can be practical and functional during confrontations and stuffs? maybe yeah some women still prefers skirts to make them feel less tomboy despite of having a masculine job, they still want to feel girly.

I wonder the same thing. I think they (whoever is on top of the chain of commands) don't have any intention of putting policewomen in the field but only in the offices.

You are correct! I have thesame question with that, I mean if they are wearing skirts, and high heels they would really be having a hard time chasing criminals. I dont mean to be skeptic about this but hey where's the common sense, they need to be relaxed and comfortable when they are on duty and not like that wearing skirts. The government should do something about this too. I mean yes it's their uniform but hey they are having difficulty with it unless they are just inside the office. Anyways, I just hope that the government will do something about it.

I always here women complain on how much their feet hurts because of high heels, imagine women in high heels confronting criminals.I really wonder why it didnt change. I think female soldiers only wears mini skirts and high heels in marching and ceremonies but they fight in pants and boots.
