I am curious, especially as we are from all different parts of the world. What kind of movies do you feel give you inspiration, if any? For me i love to watch movies, i have seen so many in my time and there are very few i dislike. The ones i am not that keen on are war and western movies. The ones that i do prefer and stand out more than any are the romantic movies. I feel that there is so much in these movies that we can learn from, shows the true feelings and what both the head and heart do in different situations. I have often even noted down some things or rememmbered them and said them to past partners, i guess i am a romantic, well when i want to be, but most of it does come from the movies really. The wonderful loving, caring, passionate thoughtful movies, that says it all for me really. What about you guys? What inspires you?

well i love romanctic movies too and comedy. i hate horror and anything similar as i am extremely squeamish and they always get me thinking things in my head. i also dont like war or westerns and im not too keen on sci-fi. i enjoy some animated films like shrek, and disney as i watch them with my kids. with the romantic films i like the stories and the endings as they always have happy ones. oh and i like tearjerkers too, as i always cry, but i like to watch them on my own so noone sees me crying.

For me the romantic movies really do stand out far more than other movies, don't get me wrong i do love other types of movies but my heart and my head will always go with romantic movies, i feel that there is so much feeling in them and we can realte to them and things that happpen in our own lives. I love things that have a happy ending, where things really do work out in the end, epecially if they have had to fight for what they now have got. Thankyou so much for your reponse, much appreciated.

i do not know how you can hate romantic movies, so much feeling, love, romance, they are wonderful. A shame that you had to watch these on your own, it must have been hard not having the love of your life not being with you while you were watching these. A great way to show your love. Hopefully you will find someone that loves these like i do and then you can watch them together.

I have never seen drumline but i have seen both coach carter and take the lead, the two of them are amazing movies. It shows that if there is something you want then aslong as you set your mind to it and focus and work hard you could possibly get it. Life is full of dreams, why not try turning the dreams into reality, that way we may accomplish things we never thought we were able to do. If we do not try then we cannot suceed. We may fail but it is better to try than not try at all, many movies do show things like this. I would agree with marinerpulak, watch the pursuit of happiness if you haven't already seen it, it is a very inspiring movie. Thankyou for your comments.

I think movies about an underdog who has all of the odds against them, but they somehow manage to fight out from underneath and have a much better time of everything in the end. I think that those movies are among my favorites to be honest with you. A good story, a thrilling struggle to the top and the journey is rather great. There have to be good characters and someone that you can get behind. And perhaps someone who is villainous but in a good way where you are rooting for the hero to triumph over all.

I see what you mean. This can happen in different kinds of movies. Where the odds are completely against them, they may get thrashed at the start of the movie but as the movie progresses they start to learn new things and adapt better to the changes they made, then they face something or someone that has beaten them before only this time they are more well equipped to deal with them and so the result is the opposite of what it was the last time. A journey sets up so many things and captures your attention so much. Thankyou very much for your response.

I like to watch romance, comedy movies. I like romance, being romantic & I like to laugh. I am not into scary/horror/suspense movies because they scare me, freak me out. I don't like documentary because it's boring and doesn't entertain me. I do love kids movies too they're fun to watch.

I couldn't agree wit you more on most of these, you are nearly the double of me, I cannot really stand documentaries, they are not interesting at all, i would prefer to just slepp through one of these movies. I do like a good horror, i like a good scare but don't scare easily. I like to wonder what would happen next in them. I love a good comedy with a great cast, to have someone like eddie murphy, or martin lawerence, etc, they have done some amazing comedy movies. But as stated it has to be the romance, it opens up my heart and i love to see so much love between a couple. Thankyou so much for your response, it is much appreciated.

Hi craigy123456789,
I get inspired by many movies I watch, not only just movies but also some you tube videos which were really really inspirational and motivational. I am not much interested in romantic movies and the melodrama movies. We have got several movies with great characters and great attitudes as the lead role in my language.
When coming to English the movie I loved and still love and keep loving is
The pursuit of happiness . The true story of Rich Gardner I am confident that one day I will be the same he is today. I had similar tough days in my life except one thing (in the movie his wife leaves to New York) that my wife stayed with me and she will be with me forever.
I watch the movie whenever I am free again and again.
Love it.
Happy Living

What a great movie that is. The pursuit of happiness was again on the television a couple of weeks ago, it is an inspiring movie, i had not seen it in a while so was good to watch it again. I think that throughout life we all experience tough times, it is great to have others close to us that can help us through those times and be there for us. I am sure that your wife would be with you forever, not everything happens like it does in the movies.

I guess that i do really like to watch movies that have things in that have never been done before, that way they are fresh, new, something that is completely different and while you are watching the movie you are uncertain as to what will happen next as it is so different from other movies that you have seen, thankyou for your comments, much appreciated.

I think that that movie did inspire you, there are so many movies out there that can touch us in so many ways. I guess my favourite would be an old movie called "an affair to remember", this movie was before my time, it is such an amazing movie that shows if you want someone and you feel so strongly then you will do all you can to be with them, this movie truly is a major classic and will always be seen that way.

Actually a movie that inspires me a lot is a type of movie which there is perfect end. For example the male lead role would live a happy life with his lead female role. I always feel that i also need to pursue in life so that i could also have a happy ending and live a life like the one on the movie. Those kinds of movie inspires me very much. But sometimes i feel i like those action movies. I also want some action in my life that my princess will be a hostage of the bad guys and i alone will annihilate them all and save my very own princess and then we'll live a happy life.

A love a perfect ending, especially to a great movie. I agree with you that it does go well with the two lead roles living a happy life together. But as many people say, "it only ever happens in the movies". I hold onto the thought that it doesn't just happen in movies but also happens in real life also, how amazing that would be. I know what you mean on the action ones, a bit of two things really, you show how much of a person you are and bring out your inner strength to fight for your partner and to get them back, yet also in that shows a bit of a love story and how devoted you are to your partner and what lengths you will go to to get them back safely in your arms. Thankyou for your comments, much appreciated.

For me movies based on friendship and love and based on unity is strength or some good concept based movies moves me. I have seen a movie called Happy Days and i have been really inspired by that movie. It is really a good movie. It shows 5 friends who are together forever and ever in college days despite the huddles and problems which they face when they freshly start college. That had really touched my heart and i wish my college days were like that!
Cheers!

I have never heard of the movie happy days. There was once a television series called this. I wonder if the 2 are conected? It is great to show real life events, to grow up together, do many things together and to show that no matter what you can have a great long lasting friendship and stay close and be there for one another, no matter what problems arise. It is great to have that. Thankyou for your input, much appreciated.

I like movies like Brave heart,Gladiator, est. It's not the bloody scenes that attract me,but the inside of the characters that moves me the most. These movies taught me to fight for our freedom, the most important things to all of us.Live without freedom is not really living.
And,thanks.Glad to share this with you guys!

sports movies where amazing things happen. facing the giants, invictus, miracle- all of these movies are amazing, where the team is met with great adversity and overcomes it to do something nobody thought possible. they are wonderful stories!

I have not really seen that many sport movies really. The ones that do stand out would be an old movie of football, england versus germany, where the english were captured, it was in the war times, it had i think michael caine in the movie and pele, great movie. It is great to face up to a team where you feel you have no chance and then overcome the odds to win it all, what a great feeling that must be. Wish that there were more movies like this, i also like, the longest yard and mean machine.
