I live in a country where there are lots of islands and it is one of my goals to visit many of those islands. Close to my new home there are 4 small islands and I hope to visit some of them in 2011. I visisted one of those islands as a child, but I don't really remember the time that I spent there and I would like to go back one day. There are also some islands in the eastern part of my country that I would like to visit in the future, and there are a lot of art museums and galleries that I would like to visit. Do want to visit any new places in your country in 2011? Are there any places in your country that you always wanted to visit, but didn't get the chance to visit yet?

Hi Porcospino, It sounds exciting to be surrounded by islands and to revisit them after a long time. Hope you are able to fulfil your wish this year. I too would love to visit a few places this year in my country.Hampi, which is a world heritage site and supposedly a beautiful spot and Andaman islands which has Port Blair as the capital. I have heard so much about the beauty of these islands that I have always wanted to visit them. So, hopefully this year...

I like islands a lot and I look forward to visiting some of the islands where I haven't been for many years and some of the islands where I have never been. Some of the small islands are very beutiful and peaceful. On some of the islands cars aren't allowed and that creates a special and very peaceful atmosphere, it is so different from the busy life in the big cities. I hope that you will get the chance to visit Hampi and the Andaman islands

Thanks a lot for the BR Porsco - what is important is to have peace and tranquility to enjoy your holiday.I too love going to places where there is no noise and pollution that we experience every day of our lives in the city. In India there are many such places where there is no TV, no vehicles .. - all that you do is relax, walk for miles together and enjoy the abundant beauty of nature - enjoy your Sunday

I know that I don't have too many vacations in store for 2011 because my husband and I are really trying to save money. I am hoping that we will be able to travel to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina with my family. This is something we've done for almost every summer since I was a child! I love doing it, especially since it has become tradition. So while it's not a new place to visit in 2011, it would still be a fun adventure!! My hubby and I are saving now so that we can go on a nice trip in 2012! *Fingers Crossed*

That's my travel goal this year too--to go to Myrtle Beach. We have never been there, and love to travel, and for us it can be a driving, rather than flying, vacation, which will help keep the cost down. Any suggestions for a first-timer to Myrtle Beach?

That sounds like a nice tradition. My family and I used to have a similar tradition, there is a place in the north of Denmark that we used to visit every summer My husband and I are not going to travel much in 2011 either. We went on a long vacation in 2010, so this year we are going to spend less money and maybe start saving up for the next trip to another country. Instead we would like to visit some of the places in our own country, because that is less expensive.

I have never been to the US or Canada. My husband was planning a trip to Canada some years ago, but he had to cancel the trip. I hope that we will get the chance to visit the US and Canada together one day. I think would be very hard to choose the places that we want to visit, because a lot of places sound interesting, and there are so many places that I would love to see

My boyfriend and I already have a list of places to visit this year. We already started with one destination, Baguio City, early this year and we plan to make a trip or vacation every two months. We just hope that we don't deplete our savings in the process. That's why in order to fund these trips, we are doing some extra work online. Our next destination hopefully will be in Vigan, which is North of Manila. I have been checking the rates of the hotels there and I hope that they are not too expensive. After Vigan, we might go South or the Visayas.

Doing some extra work online sounds like a great idea. My husband and I also have a list of places that we would like to visit and we plan on visiting some of the small islands close to our new home in 2011. We would like to visit some places in other parts of the country as well, but that is more expensive than visiting places in our own area. We have to save money at the moment, because we just bought a house and we have many bills to pay, so I also plan on earning some extra money online.

I have been in different parts of this globe but there is one place in my country that I have been wanting to visit for so long but never had the chance until now. I know it is not possible for me to visit that p;ace this year again as I am living outside my country now. That place is Batanes islands located in the northern most part of the Philippines. It is very near Taiwan. The place is always visited by typhoons so it is a must to visit the place in March or April before the rain starts in May.

I have never been to the Philippines, but here on MyLot I have read a lot about that country. I think that it could be a very interesting place to visit, and I hope that I will get the chance to go there one day. If I go it will be very difficult for me to choose which places to visit, because so many places sound interesting and beautiful. I hadn't heard about Batanes islands before, but I was curious so I decided to find some information about the place when I read your post

This year we already bought a ticket to Iloilo. It is situated at the Visayas region here in the PHilippines. I am quite excited because we only planned to do a food trip and island hopping for this trip. I will have the chance to eat the original La Paz Batchoy, a native noodle soup with chicken broth and pork organs and some vegetables. Also, I have the chance to taste one of the sweetest mangoes in the world that are grown in Guimaras. After that, I wish I can visit Calicoan Island in Samar. The place is known to have a long stretch of white sand that can be at par with those of Boracay. That still remains to be seen. And on the other side of the island is known for surfing.

Tasting the food from another part of the country is something like I also enjoy. I live in small country the food from one part of the country is generally pretty similar to the food in other parts of the country, but some areas like the south of Denmark have local specialities which I would like to eat one day. Island hopping also sound fun. In the area where I am going to move in a couple of weeks there are several small islands and I hope to visit some of them in 2011.

Well, there are quite a few places here in the States that I would Love to eventually visit. The main issue is lack of $$ and time. If my Business can ever take off like I am hoping it will, then I could probably afford to do a little more traveling as well. I think this yr. unless plans change, a lot of traveling we do will only be within a couple of hrs. of home. We do have plans to go to one of the Amusement parks in Idaho, and possibly go to Portland, OR for a weekend but that is about all for now.

We are planning to visit some hill station this summer. My wife wants to visit Agra, where Taj Mahal, one of the 7 wonders is located. I have already seen it but I want to visit there again with my wife. Yes, there are many places in India that I always wanted to visit but did not get the chance to visit. Like Goa, Mumbai, Chennai etc.

There are lots of islands as well in my country, and i have always wish to go to the southern part of my city. I love to go there this year hopefully because there are so many beautiful spots worth visiting to. And the beach there is also nice it's really worth it just being there. Hopefully i can go there with my bf, if my bf will be coming home this year. If not, i am planning to go there with my family. And i should consider the money as well, it's a bit expensive going there so better be ready with lots of money :D

Living in the USA, the amount of land and the places to see are immense. I will be making my first trip to the Northeast. We will be vacationing for a week this summer in Maine, right on the coast. I guess that will do for this year.

Right now I live in Taiwan. I would like to visit Hualien, which has a world famous national park. I would also like to see Sun Moon Lake, a large lake in the central mountains that is supposed to be absolutely beautiful. Some of the outlying islands would also be interesting to see I think!

I doubt if I will have enough money to have more vacations after my March vacations to Aruba. I´m afraid I will return broke. But I would love to visit the far south. There are beautiful islands in the south and the farthest south I have visited is Puerto Montt. There are also trips in ships where you get to see eternal snows and icebergs. Then there´s the visit to the chilean Patagonia and have a good roasted lamb in the middle of nowhere

I've been all over the states except for the east coast. I want to shop in NY and bask in Florida. I'll skip Boston because they're so liberal. I do want to visit Hawaii one day. Maybe Alaska. I want to MOVE to Texas or Arizona, but that won't be for about 10 years and hopefully by then we've flushed all the Democrats out of California and our state will be out of the red and nice once again. Then I'll probably stay here. For the same continent I'd love to visit Canada in the summer to see the Northern Lights. I'll skip Mexico until they figure out how to fix their crime problem and stop sending the criminals here. I stay away socialist dictator countries so they can't use my money to oppress their people. :) The Middle East is too violent and I'd be too "of the world" to go there anyway. I'd probably get beheaded lol. India might be fun to visit in certain areas. I've been to Japan and I loved it. As long as China is communist I'll pass. Cuba is out of the question. No way would I give Argentina money right now. Not Brazil either. It's got to be a free country to get my money.

I really want to visit the grand canyon this summer. I've always wnted to go ever since I saw the Brady Bunch episode where they went. Sadly i've never left the East coast. I'd also like to go back to the Florida Keys.

This year travel is not really part of the plan since me and my boyfriend plan to save up for future wedding. But I always love to go to Palawan to see the underground river and enjoy snorkeling.

I want to go to Virginia this year. My husbands grandma & several other family members are in VA and I'd love to take my boys over there to meet their other great grandma! Also I have never met anyone in his family except a aunt and uncle in Florida, his parents & his siblings.
