Why does friends change after getting a boyfriend or girlfriend?

I had a very close friend but ever since she met a guy and they became together. She is all changed , other people don't matter to her and now from the word "I" she always use the word "we" in her conversation. Once me,another friend,she and her boyfriend went together to a restaurant, she started complaining that she is having headache and she must go home and rest. we said ok but later on found she went to somewhere else with her boyfriend though i never told her that i knew she lied. Why did she lied? we were best buddy since childhood.I didn't say anything , just avoided her few days but it hardly bothered her.Now we don't talk now

I believe this kind of person have some ego problem. They are so selfish. That's why they change them self. Otherwise people can't change them self for their girl or boy friend. Boyfriend or girlfriend come and go but true friendship never end. So i think batter you avoid her and i am sure one day your friend will realize her mistake will come back to you.

Yeah she had been egoistic before but never lied to me.Always the same thing happens , she gets in a relation, totally forgets me and when she breaks up with them then she comes back to me. I am sick of being a comforting pet.Thanks a lot for replying

I was going to say it's somewhat normal. But if it's a reoccurring case, then you are right in your stand. No need to be with her when she notices it only in breaks... Some day she may realize, or not

Its natural ! People's priorities change once they get into a relation. Its like... tum nahi samzhogi Anjali... kuch kuch hota hai !

My friend to make sure in your present situation try to talk heart to heart your friend may be she has a problem or may be there is a reason connected to his boyfriend. Don't judge her, after you talk her then you can find if the same problem or attitude she have. As you said your close to you ever since and you said she change when she meet the guy. see you around

Actually the bigger problem is she makes me lie to her boyfriend too which is eating me up my guilt consciousness.I think its best for me to break the friendship. I have talked to her before about it and she becomes very caring for some time then again she does it.Thanks for replying
