After watching a movie I always have the tendency to go to Wikipedia, and read the summary of the movie again so I can understand things I dont get. then i will read the bios of the actors and actresses in the movie that i'm not familiar with. I kinda realize that a certain actor or actress is starring in a movie i watched before but I didn't recognized them because they look different in that previous movies of them. then after watching a movie, because people i know thinks its a waste to talk about it, In able for him to satisfy the aftermath of the movie, I will discuss it with people on the net.
What are your habits after watching a movie?

If the movie is good enough, I will inform friends to watch it too or discuss some of the scenes with those who have watched it already. I may recommend some movies that I think is worthy to watch. I can't recall nor is it a habit of mine to check the net for more detailed information on the actors, more often I just watch a movie and totally forget about it once it's over.

You fall to the category of what we call casual audience, Majority of people are like that, they will go on with their lives after watching a movie whether they like it or not. Thats why my friends found me weird because movies have huge aftermath for me. Most people just watch and forget.

If that's the case then you have to find a way on how you can get inside the movie industry. One of the things our movie industry needs are people like you who will take everything seriously if not take it to the next level. Of course it's not as easy as we think but as you said, people find you weird but i think it's just one of your passions therefore you should find a way on how to pursue it and what better way if you can be where the real action is, behind the camera.

Actually your habit is good because you are curious about what you watched. As mine after watching movies try to re-scan again the movie from the start up to the end if I can get the whole story if sometime not clear to me I will watch again the movie. It's funny but sometimes twice or thrice I've seen the movies.. LOL specially if it is science and police story... see you around

sometimes while reading trivias about the movie, i got shocked that the whole thing is shot in a studio, I really thought they were inside a real cave or a forest but they werent. its all a studio.

I don't think it's a weird habit, because I very often do the same. I'll go to Wikipedia to read about a movie I've just seen to clear things up; and find out if I really understood it. Also, I'll often go to imdb.com to read reviews and discussions, so that I can find out if others felt the same as me about a movie. Weird? No, not at all, a perfectly understandable habit; not all movies are easy to understand completely...or even at all!

I also go to Imdb, when I got impressed with the performance of a certain actor and actress, sometimes I want to try watching their past movies to see more of them. I also discuss stuff in that site when there are things in the movie that i dont understand. I also go to Amazon.com and rotten tomatoes to read reviews to know if peopel have the same opinion in the movie with me.

Yes, me too, I find out all about the actors who've impressed me; and yes Amazon is also excellent as a place to read additional reviews; I do this with a lot of movies; but if I think a movie is really I mean really bad, I'll often just quit it before the end and not read anything about it! Or read reviews to find some that agree with me about how bad it was!

sometimes its fun to read reviews of a bad movie specially if you get to watch it, Its like a reward to the pain you had been through from watching a bad movie. reviews of bad movies were hilarious.

Me too. Although I go to IMDB instead of Wikipedia. I like how IMDB presents the information of the movies. They also have goofs, trivia, and other fun stuff that gives more information during or before the production of the movie, kinda like Behind The Scenes. In IMDB, you can also browse tons of pictures of the casts and some behind the scenes takes. I suggest you try it there. Wikipedia only offers texts and a bunch of images.

True. I'd also like to discuss certain movies I like but I couldn't find the right forum to join. Can you suggest me one?

survivorsucks, Despite of the name that website is the biggest survivor fan site because they have spoilers. But for sure you are not a survivor fan but you have place there, On their general off topic area, people there discuss politics, movies and anything under the sun. The place is invaded by trolls though and profanity is allowed on that site. They have a forum Area for other Tv shows too, so if you watch a certain American show, their area known as "other show that sucks" is the place. Just beware of making repeat threads, they eat people alive.

Good day my friend,
Sometimes I did that too especially if I don't get what the movie is trying to impart to us viewers. Its not a weird thing though, it means you want to really understand the movie itself and if its recommendable or what. Most of the time if I like the movie I also buy DVD copy of the said movie so I can view whenever i like .

hi whisker....
many of my friends first read the summary of the movie then decide to watch or not. if they don't understand, they watch it twice or thrice and try to understand it... but i guess you are the one who read the summary after watching the movie,i never heard it first.....
actually i get a feedback from my friends and then decide to watch or not. by watching a movie,i deeply involve in it and share my feelings about it...if it is bad i advice them not to watch...

I usually just move on or sometimes I play a film that reminded me of the film. I never read about the film . If it had a surprise ending , I wait to see the film again.

Normal casual people usually just move on with their lives after watching a movie, In my case I search for trivias, and spoilers so i can understand what confused me during watching and i can no more about the cast.

This is actually a great benefit to the information age. I watch everything on Netflix now becuase they have a lot of great TV series on there. I love to wikipedia the different episodes and find out little director notes on the plot and character choices. It gives me a totally different perspective on the show a lot of times. Sometimes better and sometimes worse. :)

I know, I was a kid in the 90's and I dont have internet then, I dont have the benefits of discussing a movie I watched and sharing information about it. For sure we can also watch movies and TV shows at the internet too. I also discuss my fave tv shows on it's official messageboard together with the fans.

Hi Capt! I happen to think that it's a great idea! In fact, I do
it too sometimes if a certain actor really catches my attention!
I was watching some movie with my bf and it had this British
Actor in it and it was an "action" movie, not great acting, but
the guy was "hot"!lol. Turns out it was the "Transporter" collection
and the guy was Jason Statham. I am now a big fan!Doesn't
everybody discuss a movie afterwards?

My friends dont, after watching the movie, they dont want to discuss it they will just move on to their lives. They kinda look annoyed when I tried discussing the movie since I still have the aftermath. So I end up discussing it in the internet instead.

hello albert,
I don't consider it weird, because i also do same thing.
I don't watch movies in theater,i bought cd's so it means mosts of the movies that i've watched are already shown (i am usually late watcher, unless i buy the pirated ones)
My daughter does same thing or i must say,it's compulsory for her to do research after watching a specific movie, that's for her movie review (Arts for video coverage and production)
I watched movies of my interests not because the lead actor/actress is famous.
I prefer to choose film director of my category, not to mention my fav actor Nicolas Cage.
I guess, this habit of reading or research about the movie is to satisfy our mind that we really understand what the movie is all about.
have a good day

We know some of the huge Hollywood movies used complete unknown actors and actresses as lead, so yeah its natural for me to wiki it so i can know who the cast were and what are their other movies on their filmography. I love reviewing movies too, whether i love the movie or not reviewing it is kinda satisfying for a film buff like me.

We have the same habit to. Even though I've watched that movie a few times I still search for it and read the synopsis again(especially if it's a mystery movie) and who the actors are. I even read trivia and qutes and topics abut it (imdb.com)...I've seen so many movies that I always know someone in every movie I watch. I also look out for new actors who might make it big someday.

I have never heard of IMDV- maybe you mean IMDB? Is rottentomatoes any good? I have always went to imdb for any movie information and critique and all that.. When I like an actor I watch his other movies too, past and future movies, imdb is a really great site.

I always discuss things at Rottentomatoes and IMDV, I always want to critique a movie I just watched and if i liked the performance of a certain actor and actress and i felt like I want to know more of them, I will try to know their past and future movies and watch it. Sometimes I got shocked that the actor of a certain movie starred in a movie i watched before because he/she looks different in the more recent movie.

I go to imdb.com to check the ratings of the movie. Sometimes I do that before watching the movie. What your're doing is not really weird or anything. These websites are meant for information about the movies we watch. Sometimes, there is a wiki sites specifically for a movie. It actually helps us viewers about the movie.

Also by checking out wiki, I get to know if the movie is going to have a sequel which excites me sometimes because there is a sequel that i can look forward to watch in the future. I really have fun reading some trivias about the movie as well.

After watching a movie I often research about it, such as what was it based on and are characters in it related to real and even historical figures.

I don't look up movies that I've watched on Wikipedia but I don't think that is a weird habit. Everyone is different. what I usually do is I talk to some people I know or people on the internet if they watched it and what they thought about it and give my opinion about it.

Same here. Sometimes I do it before I watch the movie so I can look out for the interesting parts. I even do this with television series - drives my family crazy when I spout out some trivia. But they turn to me when they don't understand something or cannot remember where an actor/actress last appeared. Its funny to me sometimes when I understood a movie differently from most people.

usually when people watches movie they take everything literally, thats why after watching a movie I read the spoilers to make me understand what i just watched more. people also found me weird when i give trivias about the movie I just watched. Its really better to talk about it in the internet.

Sometimes after watching a movie I felt like talking about it but the people I know found it weird so I just talk to people online about it which is less awkward. if I movie I get to like is a success it makes me happy i was part of the success but if a movie I liked flops, I'm kinda sad about it but I do laugh if a movie I hated flops.

I also have the tendency to research on a particular movie especially if the actors and actresses involved are controversial or if the movie somehow was taken from a book or if the movie was based on a true story.
