What if just today.. internet is no more. The whole network just shut down because of a virus (hypothetically). No more mylot, no more, facebook, no more chatting, online ordering, video streaming EVERYTHING WOULD BE GONE right now. What do you think will happen to the world and its people? I think businesses would close. How about you? how would you feel.. if the internet would NEVER COMEBACK ever again and all the scientist in the world could not find a way to get it back. I mean right now it happened. What will be? industries will lose billions I think. I think that's how powerful the internet is. What do you think? and how would you feel? =D

If the internet just vanished today I don't think our society would know what to do, we would probably fall back into just mailing things as if people do that anymore lol. What would we do without email! Good god I can only imagine people who would suffer from internet withdrawal haha. But it would be an interesting thing to try for a day. No internet for 24 hours!

Hello kimian and welcome to myLot. We would do just fine. We would all be making some adjustments. Big one for some people and business and small for for others. We also got along with out cell phones. There would be new jobs would be created to fill the void left by the lack of the internet. People would go back to calling each other and writing letters. People would get healthier because they would get up and get moving again. Don't get me wrong because I do like my internet but I think I could get alone with out it. I did before.

Life is boring without internet. We can also lose many jobs as the internet is the main source for business. There will be no space for social networking. We can also work part time.

I would not have a problem with it. People depend on technology too much right now anyways. It would be great to see how many people could actually function without the internet right now. I use the net off and on throughout the week, just for surveys. My kids don't use it as much as other children do either. They say that it's boring just to sit still for a while and stare at a computer screen. They rather be up and running around or doing something fun.

I'd be devastated. It's one of the most vital components of my life, and has transformed my life. I creat on the internet; I write on the internet; I work on the internet too. As I see it the world wide web is one of the most miraculous and revolutionary inventions in human history..to lose it? What would I do? What would millions do? We depend on it.

Actually, although the internet has been around for quite some time, general public access or home use, did not become available until the development of GUI or graphical user interface around 1989. I think a lot of you young bloods may be lost, but for us older folk, it will be business as usual. Businesses on the other hand will find ways to adopt to new environments without internet and those internet sites like mylot will have to go back to the old penpal system. Humans are very adoptable and lack of internet in my opinion will not be the end of the world. Only the end of the world as we have become accustomed to.

I think I will borrow lots of money and buy telco shares. Everyone will end up calling each other more, and maybe telcos will improve their services and create online VOICE chat rooms. Maybe myLot will be one of them, and it may be called myMarket?
LOl....shudder, I hope it don't happen anytime soon? I might get withdrawal syndrome. Cheers to those who are keeping the net alive. Work hard, work hard.

Well, without internet, perhaps it would be hard to communicate worldwide and even in work or daily activities. BUt i supposed we could still survive. There will be lesser evil.. I guess. and lesser hurts and pains brought by mass media..

its gonna be a HUGE impact on us, especially fpr people who rely on the internet, people who has businesses over the internet. I might not be the end of the world for us but its gonna be a great loss of communication. I would feel devastated because internet is big part of my everyday life.

greetings! there was no internet probably 15-20 years ago so i guess we'll just go back to how things were done before. internet made things even faster than digital, and everything's moving on hyperspeed. perhaps it could even give us the breather we all need and give us a better perspective of how things are right now.

My company would definitely close, and I would lose my job. I work as an online teacher and through the internet I can teach students in another country. The internet has been an integral part of many businesses and many new jobs were created because of it. I think the economy would be badly affected when the internet disappears.
