How do you recharge yourself?

A week long holiday and a lot catching up to do. Beside thorough cleaning and the house, I have a project to finish, a few pending edits to clean up the old articles, some paid tasks and then I am hoping to write a couple of fresh contents - something I haven't for a while. It feels drained out when I do not for a long time. Then I must read a good book, pamper myself with good food and a nice body treatment and most importantly drop in to mylot as often as I can.
That would be a great way to recharge myself! Have you been doing your mind lately? How do you recharge yourself?

I recharge myself by taking a break from my writing. Reading online articles. Keeping up-to-date with the local and national news. Going through all my craft items, cook books, products, etc., to get ideas to write about. Make a list so when I come back from my well needed break I am ready to write again.

Good to see you MaryLynn. How have you been? Busy with recharging yourself? I think that's a great thing you have shared. How else would we get the impetus for expressing ourselves.

Glad you are back. I hardly go to AC these days but when I checked for you there couldn't find you. I, myself, is not quite regular over here but trying my best. Lots of love.

Hi Mimpi,
I have been good, was away for quite along time. Glad to be back. Got a bit recharged but, sometimes I still have to push myself to keep going. How have you been? Hope all is well. Great topic. I find your topics so much easier to relate to and reply to. Hugs

I usually like to sleep to get recharged. A great massage also does wonders for me. Watching Korean Dramas also relaxes me a lot, believe it or not. Most of all, just being with family recharges me and makes me forget the pressures of work. Sometimes, I get a haircut to feel great.

There is really only one thing that I can think of that I like to do to recharge myself. That one thing is a hot bubble bath with a good book. I think that the reason that is the way that I choose to recharge myself is because of the fact that I am a simple person and I don't tend to spoil myself. Therefore, a rejuevenating bubble bath with a book that I enjoy reading is as good for me as a trip to a spa would be for a lot of other people.

simple, have a nice long sleep. :D It's one of the basic things that a body needs to operate productively. Atleast, 8 hrs a day.

I took the opportunity to get myself recharged a couple of months back and headed off to one of favorite holiday destinations. However, it was just for a couple of days, and now with mounting pressure at work, the need for another recharge seems to have arisen. I find getting myself away from work by going on short holidays to be most rejuvenating. Hopefully I get the opportunity.
I wish that you get the best of this week long break and enjoy yourself and get to do all that you have planned out.

Lucky you! Although I feel you should take breaks more often. Office is tiring and we need to spend more of me-time.

I am up to my neck in work now because recently we shifted, there is a four month old at home, servants are still not organized,I would still feel like making some delicacy at home, would feel like sneaking some time to sit in one corner and guiltily through a few pages of an already read book and also peep in here.I too have a lot of pending work to be done but the thought that it will all soon be accomplished once I really get some time keeps me recharged.[I do not know if I made sense but I would optimistically think that soon I will find time to start doing some serious reading and writing.I know I will]

You did, of course Kala! I thing, doing small things like sneaking into the pages of a book, playing with the four year old, cooking something the family loves eating - indeed are rejuvenating!

Hi mimpi! Nice to see you! I don't have any way in particular
to get myself going again. I just have to "make myself" recharge!
I have to get myself in the right mindset and tell myself that
I "have" to do something, like a chore and try to get
myself psyched to do it! Either that or hear my bf nagging me
enough to do it that I will just to shut him up! That usually
works the best!

Hahaha! Doing the chors or finishing something you've been wanting to for a long time help me too. I feel much recharged after I accomplish my deadline or finish the TO DO list. So, I can totally relate to you on that.
Good to talk Opal.

I love a weekend off when I can just do whatever I want to do without everything having to be scheduled. A whole day in my pajamas is awesome too...lol. I like to get out and do things too but sometimes just laying around and taking care of myself really does the trick.

So true Jen. A whole day in pajamas are just an ideal day for me as well. Weekend getaways are great too even though I hardly get to do that.

You know what, a vacation is a must. I wish that I can leave everything behind me, and I can go on vacation to south, somewhere exotic, and I can enjoy a good view. It will be perfect definitely a beach ocean view. I can sipping some beach drinks, and lay down under the sun. I can sleep whatever hours I like.

I just wish I could do that now. This is driving me crazy. Just want to break free and drive to the ocean!

hello mimpi1911!
living near the beachfront, just listening to the lull of the laps of the waves as it kisses the sun-drench sand, makes me filled with serenity and awe. Drinking coffee by the beach is a very relaxing way to end a very hectic day, while watching the sun sets. Then when night time comes, lulling myself to sleep with a very nice instrumental music relaxes and recharges my self more than ever.
working around the clock and from mondays to fridays, doing paid written works during weekends and nights fill my days. THat's why i really need to unwind and recharge to keep myself sane, amidst the stress and humdrum of daily life.

When i want to be recharged from my full time job and living here in the city with my family, i would just go to my paternal house, where my parents and some sisters live.
Just being with them , eating , laughing and sharing stories really recharges me !
I would usually go there in the morning and be back home in the afternoon. Something in me is being rekindled, making me super recharged !

Being with the family indeed makes us the happiest and that's the best possible way to recharge ourselves. I am glad that you are able to do that.

I recharge my self by enjoy with my friends. Some time we went out from home on our holiday and travel many places. Some times I recharge myself to play cricket and football on our holiday. Some time I recharge myself by using internet and giving time to my family member.

Wow! That is such a nice way to pamper yourself. I wish I could do that right now too but I think it would have to be a while.
I do have a full schedule but I make it a point to have Sundays to myself. It would be my Lazy Do Nothing Day. Well, I still do stuff on that day (like right now) but mostly it's to rest up, channel flip, and catch up on my online things. There have been Sundays when I just didnt do anything but watch tv the whole day. Today, however, I managed to watch tv, and finish up on some online stuff. Im currently trying to catch up to myLot discussions. I still have 200+ to go but I dont think Ill be able to answer them all today.
Anyway, I hope that made sense. Enjoy pampering yourself my friend.

When I want to recharge myself, I talk a nice warm shower, have a cup of coffee and go for a morning run. I feel so awesome and ready for the day when my day goes exactly like that. I would love to recharge myself with a nice dip in the hot tub..but that won't be happening anytime soon.

I do the same as you do... I pamper myself with good food and a nice body treatment or just a massage. If not, I would go to a cafe and mylot the whole day or play my favorite computer games.
