Except Waqar for Pakisthan, all other international teams are having batsmen as coaches.
Does it mean that bowlers cannot deliver as coaches???
Shane Warne did a great job as captain & coach of RR during IPL1. A team like India which has batsmen like Sachin, dravid, Shewag shoud ideally look for a bowler as their main coach to bolster their bowlers.
Why do all boards think that batsmen make better tacticians ???

There are talks to make the current Bowling coach as the replacement for Gary Kirsten. Lets see if this happens or BCCI will go for fleming !
Yes! cricket has become more & more batsman's game. Boundaries have become smaller, rules have become liberal & pitches flatter.

hi srijshm,
It has been long time since i was here.. how r u? i personally feel it should be all rounder who has better grip on game than pure bowlers or batsman . Example of this is Kapil Dev who got India its only world cup till date. As far as coaches are concerned it is question of availability. Most coaches available who suit the criteria are batsman and there are not enough quality bowler coaches available i think.

You have asked very good question i think you should ask this question to cricket board then they have exact and correct answer of this matter.
But in my opinion cricket board give priority to batsman as coaches as they want to make they batsman more stronger then bowler i think they believe that if batsman can do well in the match then they can win the match very easily as all team can't do good run.
Though i am not quite sure why they exactly choose any batsman as there coach. It's just my guess.
Have a good time!
