When you're got the coughing, sneezing, and sore throat that come with a cold or flu, it can seem impossible to achieve the benefits of a good night's sleep-like better health, alertness, and improved mood. What are some remedies or medicines for getting to sleep to sleep when you're under the weather?

I rely on Nyquil to help me and my family sleep through colds. It helps get you to sleep when you are having trouble sleeping. It helps to suppress your cough and make you feel drowsy so you can fall asleep.

For me when I'm down with a flu I usually don't have problem sleeping. Probably because of the medicine. They make me sleepy. But do try to drink hot milk, that's what I do when I can't sleep at night. Hope this helps.

When i have a flu, but no colds, i could easily sleep with the aid of a paracetamol . But when i have colds, i need a nasal decongestant so i could sleep. But even if i have taken a nasal decongestant and my nose is still congested, i would sleep with my mouth slightly open so i could breath.
