Butt
He is having an awful problem here, but I just have to laugh at him
He has a case of ....well shall we call it wind, and I mean he goes, everytime he does he charges across the room and barks at his butt he will then look to the Place where he had been and bark
I try to tell him that it is his Butt but well he will not listen to me
Mind you the Noise it makes it must vibrate quite a bit lol
Well last Night he was lying on my Lap and next thing he shot of I wondered why till this awful smell came my way, so I moved as well this was a quiet one and it was lethal
When we went to bed, Gissi decided to go under the Bed behind the Box which has the Christmas tree in
I was reading my Book, when I heard it well Gissi shot out from under the bed as he did he also banged his Head, he was barking like mad and I was laughing I just could not help it, he jumped up on my Bed and he jumped all over he also lost the Page of my Book which of course I did not find funny
Well he went into his bed and layed there grunting, next thing he just collapsed on his back and his legs where going, I got scared as I thought he was having a Fit or a Stroke, so I called him, I called him again, he just got up and looked at me as if to say "What? Can't you see I am trying to go to sleep here"
Well I had got so scared I just said to him "Don't you ever do that again, you scared the Life out me" he looked at me as if to say "Yeah ok" then his butt went of again and he shot up on my bed like a Rocket, well I had to laugh then because he was going round in Circles on my Bed barking at his butt
That will teach him to scare me won't it lol?

I know they are funny, Sadie does this everyonce in a while. If Gissi is having a lot of gas you might want to change his diet, and give him some digestive enzymes. I have been giving my dogs these for many years and have very little gas problems. With my dogs because they run free they eat all kinds of things which can make them very gasie.

Oh my goodness, thanks for sharing this story. I really needed the laugh, Gissi is always good for that. Thats too funny, I have a picture in my head and him doing this. He sure is something. He doesn't know it but he has become so special to so many people here, he should have his own fan club.

lolol! HOw funny! I wonder though if there is something wrong with him physically? Having gas can be painful and if this is ongoing he may have something with his gastrointestinal. Maybe you should take him to the doctor to check him.

I know they are not good for Dogs that is why I do not give them to Dogs but I obviously missed that little bit lol

O. Poor little Gissi. I am very glad it is not something serious.
Do you know onions are not good for Gissi to eat? Here is a website about onions and dogs:

I am so happy Gissi is feeling better! Give him a hug and a kiss on the nose for me.

While it's funny, let's hope it's temporary gas. Otherwise, I'd be tempted to take him in to the vet, since I really don't know what to give a dog to relieve gas. I'll have to believe Pat and Dawn... I've had Shelties since 1981 and I don't think any of my dogs have had gas and then barked at their butts. I'd probably roll laughing, just like you did, if they did.

Awwh poor Gissi, maybe his tummy is irritated somehow. Something is not agreeing with his tummy. I hope he is not moaning in pain when he releases air. Poor baby I want to laugh but can't like you wonder if he is okay.
If it is just a few days maybe just a touch of the flu of some kind, at any rate kiss him for me and tell him Auntie wants him to be well.

I have read through the whole discussion and know what the whole thing is about (I am always late) so know there is nothing to be worried about.I can tell you Widget is a gas bag all the time only problem is : he sleeps with me .. usually with his butt up close to my head . not funny i am telling you..lol . What is funny is the other puppy we have now gets the same problem occasionally as well and she kind of freaks out like Gissi does and it is too funny to watch .

This is very funny to picture, and except when it makes you scared I bet it gives you a good laugh and that is so good for you. I wonder if he should be eating yogurt or if he could take chlorophyll. I think if it is an ongoing problem there should be something that he could eat that would help him not shoot off like a rocket all the time.

That is funny. Gissi is such a funny little boy. lol I have one, my baby Jackie. When he passes gas he jumps up and goes some place else. He looks back to where he was and he absolutely will not go back to where he was. Oh no, he is so funny to he acts like it was not him that did that. Or he is not exactly sure what that is, so he will just get away from it. He is a skiddish little one. lol

Oh, I imagine he must be so funny when he runs across the room and barks at his butt!
Binne do something similar: when she is sleeping and an unusual sound appears (for instance, if I drop something by mistake) she gets up barking ferocious, like she was a perfect guard dog (which was asleep, by the way )
Sometimes, instead of a ferocious bark, she only speak some Arrrarrrarrrarrr like she was chewing the bark. She's so cute when she tries to look ferocious!

This is funny. Having said this something might be hurting him. Just watch for a couple of days more. I think the irritation is making him grouchy as well.

That is so cute! Sometimes Sherlock scares himself when he passes wind. He'll jump into the air if his gas makes a noise. And other times he'll start sniffing his rear as if to say, is that smell coming from ME? It's adorable. I don't think passing gas is exactly a palatable thing, but with Sherlock, it doesn't bother me. Everything he does is cute to me.

Hi gabs! That Gissi is one silly little doggy! I don't know what
to say about him anymore! He doesn't even know what's coming out
of his own butt!lol Poor lil' guy! I guess he will figure it out
one day sooner or later. But, in the meantime he will just have
to go chasing around and banging his head and doing whatever else
until he figures it out! He kind of reminds me of the bf! Want
to trade?
