What do you enjoy more - COOKING, or EATING? Secondly, if you prefer JUST eating, does someone else cook for you or do you go out a lot? LOL!

hi mommyboo I enjoy booth but am stu ck in this tiresome retirement center and to tell the truth a lot of times i do not enjoy what I am given to eat, and wish I could cook my own food again. I love both cooking which I cannot do and eating when the food is good to eat. lo l their eye here is always on the bottom line, money wise. thus the sort olf food they give us like originality .only when we have Mexican dishes then the mexican cooks are in seventh heaven and the food is excellent. wish they would serve tacos and enchilados a lot more here.

Eating is a passion; whereas, cooking is something good to learn and fun to do.

LOL! Sometimes I almost think people who LOVE to cook feel the opposite. I love eating.. unless I'm not hungry.

I prefer eating to cooking. Not that I wouldn't enjoy cooking, but I just never got into it. I go out to eat a lot. I eat other people's cooking. And, because I have children, I have to cook sometimes.

LOL! As long as it's not too expensive or a hassle. I have some friends who prefer not to go out because their kids are not good when they go, or it's really expensive to go out all the time with a family of 5 or 6. There are lots of solutions, have you seen the easy cookbooks with 4 or 5 ingreds or less... or crockpot meals are super easy as well. There are lots of semi-homemade recipes that you can use already prepped ingreds from the store, frozen or fresh prewashed and precut veggies or fruits, cans of soup or seasoning envelopes, bagged chopped salad, canned diced tomatoes, etc.

Of course I enjoy eating more... It's because I still don't know how to cook- but I want to learn ,someday. My parents cook for me, and sometimes we go to restaurants or fast food places. I love watching coking shows though.

Cooking isn't hard to learn, and it's a little more forgiving than baking. When you bake you really have to follow the recipes exactly, but if you're cooking, you can adjust seasonings or liquid content, or even sometimes what the liquid is... like I often will swap some sort of broth for water because it gives more flavor, I like using olive oil over vegetable oil unless the flavor makes a difference. Just try sometime, and look for easy recipes

I can't really pick because I feel the same about them. I love to eat what I cook^^ There are also the times when I don't feel like cooking and don't feel like eating. So, mostly my feelings about them are even.

I think we all have those days... when I dont feel like cooking sometimes I get take out or something, or I check and see if I have something easy to prep that I can just heat up... or something easy to prep like a dinner salad. I try to always have a few easy go-to meals that I could make in a pinch, if someone stopped by, if I have extra kids, or honestly if nobody feels like actually COOKING lol. My pantry is always stocked with soup and things like mac&cheese, chicken and beef broth, canned veggies, pasta sauces, seasoning packets for various things, and I try to always have bagged salad mix or romaine, tomatoes, avocados, cheese, sliced deli meats or chopped cooked chicken, bacon, etc, and fresh fruit.

I do a lot of cooking. I certainly do a lot of eating. But I love it when somebody else cooks for me. It is a nice treat.

i'd rather eat than cook. eating is usually my comfort zone, but not to the extreme levels. when i feel sad, tired or depressed, i find time to go out and eat. in my case, having a very busy schedule, it saves time to go out and buy food that is already available to eat, i usually eat at fast food joints (i admit that it's unhealthy but that's just me). i love fries and pizza. but its also nice when someone cooks for you. i'd really appreciate it if someone would take the time and effort to cook for me, it makes me feel special. :-)

i prefer to eat, but i have to cook just about every night! my hubby can't cook. which leaves it to me to cook every single night! i love to eat, and i don't know anyone who doesn't like to eat a really great meal. if i had to choice i would leave the cooking to someone else. Thank goodness i am a great cook!

i enjoy eating more than cooking, and i prefer if someone else cooks for me.. (that will include eating out).. i can say that i like cooking too.. but i truly do not enjoy cleaning up after... but i would really enjoy cooking more if i am not rushed - and have all the necessary ingredients and correct recipe...

Well, I prefer eating more than cooking, but I do not mind making something simple. Complicated meals drive me nuts. Too much time in the kitchen is not good! I make at least two out of my three meals for the day and they are all simple. At least one of these meals is a smoothie every day, which I love as I can have a nutritious meal in just a few minutes. My wife usually does the evening meal for the family.

There was a time that there would have been no doubt in my mind that I would rather eat than to cook. However, at this point in my life that isn't the case at all. Instead, I would rather spend my time cooking a meal for my family and then I get all of my pleasure out of watching them eat. I tend to do a lot of tasting while I am cooking so then when the meal is ready, I'm actually not all that hungry and eat small meals.

Cooking is something I am not good at all. The best I can do is make some boiled eggs, boil water and make coffee, at breakfast time. For lunch and dinners, I either have to go to restaurants, or eat microwaveable fast food packages. I wish I could do better than that.

I love to eat more.. Because although I know to cook a little bit, I enjoy eating more than cooking.. I spend most of my allowance in eating foods.. Because there are times when I crave to eat something.. 1-3 times a week, I eat in fast food restaurants.. Most of the time, I eat in KFC.. I really have to control my cravings in food.. Because although my allowance got bigger, my expenses in food got bigger also.. So I only save a little money.. But what can I do.. Eating is one of the most enjoyable thing to do.. We just have to enjoy it..

I enjoy both! I'm not the best cook in the world but I'm really trying to teach myself. I'm learning a lot which makes me enjoy cooking more than I use to. I also love to taste what I cook. My hubby is a great cook and I love tasting what he cooks. So I guess I'd say it's pretty close to equal and that I enjoy both. :-)
