when people get in power many turn into jerks

Personally it does make you wonder, and is quite sad to see. I have seen it happen time and time again with people and outside of their job and position sometimes they are still the Fun loving person, but in their work position they become Bulls and over bearing, and demanding to where it makes you wonder who they really think they are. I know for me it makes me upset to see some become like this, and wish they could Stop and think about what life used to be like for them before this. And overall looking at most of the Elected officials like Governors, the President, and other members of Congress, etc. it really discusts me when all they can think about is themselves, and not what will this New Tax or help do to the rest of our State, Country, etc. Sometimes I wish some of the cuts they put into effect could end up hurting them as well.

How true!! It is not just government jobs and such. Give someone a bit of power and the head swells. I have seen it many times over among my employees. I had to fire 4 or 5 people because they could not handle the power given to them. They were great when they first came to work, then when we promote them to a bit higher position, they started to turn nasty. And the worst of it was that they started to think we could not do WITHOUT them. Hah!! We have trained them from the grounds up and if they cannot co-operate or work with others, we will just train others. And that is just on my very small business. I shudder to think what would those kind of people do in a big company or yeah, in a government job.

I've witnessed many people who became freaks of power the moment they sit on that thrown. Only a few really take care of the real responsibility. What a sad world.
