Sometimes I wish I was a cat. Just look at the pic below and I defy you not to think to yourself, "Wow, she looks comfy. I WISH I WAS A CAT!" It took us ages finding her the other day as she hid under the covers and we "forgot" to look there. The photo isn't from that day, it's from about 10 minutes ago, but she is "hiding" in the same place. FloJo being a cat, she didn't come out when called. Just led there until we found her..obviously her own version of "Hide And Seek!" Hope you like the pic.

She's a cutie! I don't have a cat, just two dogs, but I've been thinking about getting a cat (and another dog). I'm thinking about a siamese. We use to have nothing but siamese cats when I was a kid. Then we got dogs to go with the cats, so I know they get along. Maybe it's time...

Get a cat! Get a cat! Get a cat! Siamese are gorgeous cats, they really are. There used to be one next door to Mum years ago and the owners never let her in. She was called Suki and Mum caught her eating her cooked chicken one time. Couldn't get mad with her though, the poor thing was really hungry so had to find food wherever she could. We would've adopted her but she was very aggressive despite looking beautiful with the gorgeous, blue eyes. I can't remember what happened to her as the owners split up. My guess is she went with the less loony of the two, the man.

Throw it a bog roll holder, cats love 'em!

I've kind of been watching the animal shelters for a siamese. And if one shows up, just maybe... But then I'll have to buy all new stuff, unless the cat loves dog toys!

Princess does not know what to think, it is much too cold for her to go outside. She has about three places she hides. On the other hand, both of the boys are always in plain sight, curled up where ever we want to sit.

Janey, I am smack dab in the middle of the US and it is not going to get up above freezing for a few days. It was beautiful and warm last week. We needed the snow here in Kansas, because we have been short of moisture, but we could do without the wind and the bitter cold temperatures. Luckily, since I am not working I can just stay home. I always have a ton of food on hand.

Thanks for clearing that one up. I know people from all over the US and it's hard to keep track of where you all are.

Are you experience any of the cold weather that's been forecast for much of the US? I saw a news item on it and it's really frightening. I do hope you're spared the worsed. As for Princess...cuuutee naaaamme!

A couple of my cats do this and generally the only way of telling that they are under there is a lump in the cover where no lump aught to be! The 9 month old Star will burrow under regardless the fact that she's burrowing under another cat who happens to be lieing on top of the cover. Needless to say, the cat on top tends to take a dim view of this and proceeds to whack the lump with some vigour! That does not deter the burrower though!

we call the under the covers game "mousie under the covers" and Rygel is so in love with the game, he'll get under them and play all by himself, but better if there is someone up on top to play. Mind you, he would rather be on top of them, but he's known to strip my bed getting under them!

Awww how cute! I had cats a few years ago (sisters) and both used to love my bed (with me in it of course) one on the top, the other under the covers with me. Now and again they'd clash and it was quite funny being in the middle of their squabbles!

Yes, it would be great, I agree. Apparently, cats have the knack of finding the warmest places in the house, it's a fact. They do this outside as well but are intelligent enough to find shade if it gets too hot!

My cat have a weird taste when it comes to finding places to sleep, there is a times she sleeps in the sink, there is a time she sleeps in my drawer, there is a time she sleeps under the fridge(i guess its warm there)she also did go to my neighbor's house and sleep on their bed. Now I miss my cat. I wish she lvied a longer life.

My neighbors poisoned her because she kept on killing their love birds. Its not my cat's fault if their lovebirds are delicious.

I did wish I were my cat Purr when I was still so sleep deprived from working nights. I was always having a hard time getting to sleep during the daytime that left me lethargic when I woke up in the night and it was time for me to go to work. I recall looking out my kitchen window to see Purr curled up and sleeping peacefully in the middle of the day. But if you are referring to weird places they would sleep in, nothing beats the fright Purr gave me when he stuffed himself into an empty flower pot to sleep. I was already panicking and thinking of who would be so heartless to murder my cat and stuff him in a pot, then he stirred, stretched and walked on as if nothing happened.

Aww what a lovely cat Purr sounds, certainly goes with his name. FloJo sends me to sleep with her purr. I love watching her belly move up and down when she is in a deep slumber. Her whiskers then start to twitch when she's "dreaming." I'm not surprised Purr gave you such a fright sleeping in a plant pot!

Hi, Janey...My cat, Allie, usually doesn't go and hide to sleep. She is ordinarily in the same room with me sleeping on her special pallet right next to my desk chair. Occasionally I'll miss her and find her curled up in the bedroom somewhere. But most of the time she is close to me. She'll stay here on the pallet until my bedtime and then she goes to my bed. She has a special pillow that she sleeps on when I'm in bed which is right next to me. She kneads on my cover and has to be petted before she'll lie down to sleep for the night. If I don't pet her, she sticks her face up close to mine as if to say, "You gotta pet me now so I can go to sleep."

Awww what a sweet-sounding cat you have there! My cat sleeps on my pillow and, eventually she's on most of the pillow so I'm at the corner with my head. No wonder I have a crick in my neck most mornings. I can't move her though, she loves it on there. Give Allie a big cuddle from her new friend, Janey!
