Hi, anime....I don't think a vet will charge you for just a phone call. And I think that's all it will take. If it were my dog I'd follow his directions. He will probably tell you to do nothing as dogs are capable of sloughing off what we would want to take medication for. But just to be safe, I'd call the vet. I wouldn't treat my child without calling a physician and since our pets are part of our families I would treat them the same.

The par influenza virus is one the most frequent and most contagious source of cold-type illnesses in dogs. That's why combination of vaccines includes an immunization against it. The infection is characterized by a chronic cough. Natural and holistic treatments have confirmed to be highly efficient in providing relief for humans as well as pets with respiratory problems. Treatments such as herbal and homeopathic remedies are safe and gentle to use without any negative side effects. Warily selected herbs such as Verbascum thapsus (Mullein leaves) and Sambucus nigra (Elder flowers) strengthen the respiratory system including the nose, lungs and throat.

Dogs have much better immunity power than we do.I've never seen my dog getting cold.
If you don't want to go to a vet for that just ask some veterinary medical store about the med that you can give to a dog for cold,or may be ask some vet through internet.

I would definitely say that your first option is bring them to vets for some confirmation but if you really wanted to give natural remedies try giving or supplementing them with Sodium Ascorbate (Vit. C) it is a alkaline based vit. c, or you can supplement your dogs with ACV or apple cider vinegar which I find really effective in curing various illness and ailments 1/2 teaspoon per meal, but as a disclaimer you should first read resources online regarding the remedies that I mentioned you.
