Ya, i was a game freak when i was a child. I played video games for nearly 8 hours a day. Haha, and i got glasses soon. Those games still make me go crazy and i can still play them upto long hours. I love video games and i am quite addicted to them.

I think the video games is a dangerous addiction. My son was immersed in it all day long in his childhood,as a result,he neglected his studies. Now he feels too late to repent. For getting rid of it you must divert your interest from it however that needs strong will power.

Yeah but its hard to say because it might just be that people like the game. One of the best ways to get rid of any addiction is to find something better and more productive to do with your time. Just find a sport, job, or activity to give your time to.

It is very easy to become "addicted" to video games because the games can be really fun and when you play it always seems like the time just flies by. I know a few people who have had a difficult time peeling themselves away from their video games even when they know they've got other more important things to do. I think the best way to get over video games is to go cold turkey. Unplug the system, and put it away along with the games, the controllers, and anything else video game related. Out of sight, out of mind. So put it away where you don't see it everyday. If you do give in and take out the video games, make sure you hide it away again right after you play. That way, you can't just turn it on and play easily. Remember, out of sight, out of mind. Plus keep yourself busy with work, hobbies, going out with friends or family. Video games sometimes come out when boredom strikes.

yes you can get addicted to video games and it is easy to do.. i only play games online like pogo.com but im not addicted i can take it or leave it.. you ask how do you get over the addiction my advice is to try and slowly cut back on it and replace the time you spend playing video games with something more important. like family time.. or vol work.. or helping others or making money.. like mylot
that is how you get over an addiction you replace what ever it is your addicted to with something else... i know its hard to do and i hope i never get addicted to video games.. i need all the time i can get to do other fun stuff .. i like to go to the pavillion and walk becasue im trying to lose weight.. try picking a new hobby ... good luck
