I'm baking again. Dunkan Hines Moist Deluxe Cake mix.

Everyone knows Dunkan Hines is very good at what they do! Everyone also knows a box of cake mix makes 24 cupcakes. Please tell me someone else has made this error! 12 misshapen cupcakes and 12 decent ones later is what I've got to show for my effort. How dumb!

Well I bet they taste good anyway regardless of how they look! LOL..little things like that can't bother you when the end results tastes so good....alot of times when I bake cookies I sometimes don't get a pan out in time.....oh well!

Hey not to worry! I find it varies ... some mixes make 24, some mixes make way less. The ones with just egg whites vs whole eggs tend to make fewer I find. But anyway the ICING is always the best part so just put on lots and the shape of the cupcake underneath won't matter much. Enjoy !

I really do not understand what your problem is from what you have said. Did you bake both batches at the same time? or did you make one dozen, take them out of the oven and then bake the other dozen?
