Definitely. Unfortunately, not many of my family members are into Facebook. I have my sister and her husband, my mother-in-law and some cousins. I think it is a great way to keep in touch, especially when you haven't got much topic to discuss but still wants to know what's going on with them. Well, not just Facebook, but internet in general, anyway.

Years ago when I was "facebooking" on a site called MyFamily.com....I tried to make it a fun place for my family to "meet" since we are all over the western seaboard. I had to shut it down cause, since everyone can see everything everyone posts...two family members got into a fight about something that happened many years ago and was only brought up to distinguish a person possibly forgotten about..and the fight went full blast. Then the daughter (16) jumped in and went on about the issue and she wasn't even born when it happened!
So I closed it. To much out there, read by to many people and not all understand what is going on. I don't like Facebook much cause of that. I am on my daughters and the same thing just recently happened and it wasn't even her page! My niece was complaining about being pregnant and not married etc. By the end of the entries...4 others had her either aborting or putting it up for adoption and the niece didn't even have a say in it! It was horrible!
So I am not a Facebook fan at all!

A few cousins, but no real awkward photos. Probably because I've hardly met most of them, I've got 5 cousins and I've only contact with one of them but for some reason 3 of the other ones kept adding me on facebook so in the end I accepted them. Both they don't really post anything interesting and I don't have any plans to meet them, so I still can't see why they want to be friends with me there.

well yeah some of them hehehe :) but i put them in this friends list where they cant really see my photos like when i am on the beach or in a party. my parents are very conservative, i cant even wear short shorts when i go out. well here in our country, wearing something short and low neck line is really a big deal, ugh. heheh but its okay, there is nothing i can do..

The only family members that I don't invite on my facebook are my parents. Well my mother doesn't have an account there, my father does. But I didn't add him. Good thing he's not really into it.
I have my brothers and my cousins on facebook. I got nothing to hide to them. I'm careful on what I post there. The only reason why I don't add my father on ym facebook is that I don't want him to see my rants about them. Sometimes I do that. LoL. Fortunately, my brothers won't tell on me. :D
So far, no embarrassing photos which lead to awkward discussions. :)

Hi there Rostow!!!
I am friends with some of my relatives in facebook. And there where also times where I find a long lost relative in by suing this social networking site. Some of my relatives are leaving in abroad and some far countries and the only way for us to communicate freely is through facebook.
well regarding the photos in facebook,I don't remember any situations wherein we have a discussion over an embarrassing photo that is posted in facebook. As much as possible I am really very careful with the photos that I am posting in facebook coz I don't want it to be the source of some malicious issues that other people will say about me.
