What will you do when you feel so sleepy but don't feel like to sleep?

I have spend the whole days doing things with my computer and my eyes started to get tired.I was busy adding new yourubes to my website and checking on all the online business for the whole day.It would be great if my business can do a bit better , but it is not. I feel like to go out for a walk but the weather is just so cold out there. I think I just keep on typing some new post to mylot then, but I feel so sleepy now.Sometime, I do want to go to sleep when I am tired but not today. What will you do if you fell drowsy or sleepy but just don't feel like to go to bed and have a good rest?Shsre with us?

I usually feel this kind of thing, what I do is I chat with my bf who is far away and insist that he talk with me some more so that my mind will be at ease and somehow get to sleep. If my bf is not available because he is at work, what I do is just listen to music that are soft and are conducive to sleeping. If music doesn't work still, I do write anything I feel like writing and mostly these 3 things help me get to sleep.

if i am too sleepy, i won't be able to fight the urge to sleep.. i guess if it happens i would be more than willing to go to bed and rest. hehe

i think when i am feeling extra sleepy i am not in the position to not sleep. hehe it is like a given thing to me, if i am sleepy, my eyes shutting on its own against my will, i will have to sleep it.

When your eyes are tired but you are not and it is not bed time then I would suggest palming your eyes. You close your eyes and place the palms of your hands over them making total darkness. This is a recommended eye exercise to rest them and protect your sight. There are other exercises as well such as rolling your eyes and looking out the corners as far as possible as well as up and down. Also learn to blink alot. We tend to stare at the screen for too long and this can dry your eyes as well as focus your sight in only one place. Eyes need exercise as well for good sight.

When I feel tired but don't really feel like sleeping, I will usually do something that will get my blood flowing, like take a walk or do a 10-15 minute workout in the house. This will give me the energy that I need to keep going for a little while. After I've done that, I will return to whatever it was that I'd been working on prior to the getting my blood to flow and try to get more accomplished on that project.

I eat, listen to funky music, play with my dog and most especially, I stay away from the couch or my bed.

Hi yes, thats happened to me many times, especially when i am mylotting or chatting on facebook. I feel sleepy but still do not want to get off my seat. My eyes are starting to konk off, but still my brain is forcing it to stay awake. It a real tough situation.

Normally when I get sleepy I still have stuff to do! Doing it keeps me awake until I can head to bed. But on the occasions when I have nothing to do then my preference would probably be to potter around on the computer. If I'm tired I haven't normally got the enthusiasm to read, which is what I'd normally choose to do if I have nothing planned and some free time.

I switch off the light... Put my favorite songs playlist in a small sound... And just lean on the bed closing my eyes...

Do you like to read? When I'm sleepy but can't sleep or don't feel like it, I snuggle up and get absorbed into a good book. It needs to be something you're interested in & enjoying reading for it to pick your mood up though. I know what you mean about the weather; I've not been out walking or getting much exercise lately because it's nasty outside. Other things I like to do are crosswords from the paper, or a game on my Ipod Touch. If I want to be a bit more active, then doing a bit of a clear out always takes my mind off things and keeps me busy. My next tidy up project will be my wardrobe (crammed with stuff I haven't got around to sorting out yet)!

This happens to me sometimes. When I am tired but don't want to sleep, I will watch movies or animations. If my eyes get tired, I probably go out to find some friends or close my eyes and listen to music. Besides, spending too much time in front of computer is bad for eyes, please have a proper rest~~

Sometimes we really stay too long in front of the computer. We forget that we need a break. At times we tend to forget we need to sleep too. Funny, right! What I do is that I eat a piece of banana to calm my nerves and muscles. I find it effective. I wake up in the morning rested. You try it and it helps!

These days I go to bed. Sometimes when I really want to stay up, I either do the unhealthy thing and eat a snack, or I go wash dishes or do some chore.

You might be experiencing sleep condition called insomnia. It may happen to anyone and it is at times normal. However, if it happens continuously then, it is no longer normal and needs for some medical consultation. As for me, there are times i experience that thing. What i normally do is to exercise vigorously for at least 15 minutes so it will make me tire and drink my favorite caffeinated beverage like coffee or soda. Sound funny but that is what i do. My body would respond to caffeine and would help me to have a good sleep.

normally, if i feel sleepy but do not want to sleep at all, i would drink coffee; listen to some music and dance around (your hormones will become alive); stretch, eat (since it gives you energy) and sometimes, if i know i really need to rest my brain - i actually take a 10 min power nap and set my alarm in my cell phone and for some reason, this really works for me.
