By Camille Ebden BBC News The world population growth rate must slow down significantly to avoid reaching unsustainable levels, says a new UN report. To have a reasonable chance of stabilising world population, fertility must drop to below "replacement level". It must then be maintained at that level for an extended period, says the report. This replacement level is the fertility level at which a population replaces itself from one generation to the next. The world population is already poised to reach 7 billion later this year and this figure potentially could double to 14 billion by 2100 if action is not taken. How many of you think that the world population can go on growing forever? Let's see a show of hands.

Before we can safely increase the world population we would have to learn to care for the people that now live on the earth. I don't think this will ever happen in this world. We already have many people dieing of hunger. Many countries don't have enough work even for their current population. Man doesn't have the wisdom. We need God's help!

I do not think that the world will continue to grow at the rates that it has been...I think that is the whole point of this World Government that everyone is trying to implement. It is also the point of things like the s510 Food Safety Bill and the EPA taking over the Milk industry. This will make all food too expensive for the poor and the 3rd world. It will make our country so poor it will also be a third world country. There will be no small farms in the US within two year thanks to s510. We are losing all of our small businesses. There is no reason to have large families in the US anymore. They are counting on population dieing off and birth rates dropping.
