For the competitive swimmers: How fast do you swim?

I am one of the many competitive swimmers out there. Of course, I'm not one of those olympians, but I'm not a person who is taking swimming lessons.
I am currently on a strong and competitive swim team with vigorous practices usually every day of the week.
Were you a competitive swimmer, you would know your speed and times for your main event.
Just for the record, I am competitive for the fun of the sport.
So anyway, I have a few questions for you guys.
-What is(are) your main event(s)?
-What is(are) your time(s) for those event(s)?
-Do you do anything unique that you feel increases your speed, even for half a second?
-How often do you swim, and what type of drills you do?
I don't mean to discriminate against those who do not competitively swim. I am simply curious. For those of you that are not as competitive as others, you can post some friendly advice, such as how to take care of yourself as to not fall ill after swimming.
Win or lose, the most important things are sportsmanship and to have fun!
