what you used to do before you started going online? I washed dishes, watched tv, writing, talked on the phone, went for walks, etc. What did you do?

I read books, lots and lots of books. And I watch television. That's it mostly, cause I only go online after work, so there's really not much to do for me, other than to watch tv. I also used to sleep early, like 8:30 to 9:00PM early, now it's mosty 10 to 12MN.

Yeah, reading books is really a great hobby. I try to do it know on lunch break instead of after work, that way I can still do both (reading and going online).

Nice question. I was thinking the day long about this subject only. Normally I don't get time for anything on Saturday and Sundays. As both days are holidays, I will get up only late after 9-9:30. But now I am there with myLot by 8:00 am. The first change. Now again, I will spend 2-3 hrs. in the morning and if get time will continue for longer. On the other hand, I used clean up the house, do a lots of miscellaneous works, Now all got stopped and it become complaints from family also. However, I am getting managed all in time and the great advantage is that all the job become completing with double speed. So, it is an added advantage and do more with less time is the effect of myLot. And still many more.... Thank-s

I work online too. I used to work in customer service and was online all day all week. I got my own computer in 2001 and would go online when I got home. Before I went online I guess it was mostly tv in the evenings and then I would read alittle before I went to sleep.

I took care of sick people who were living with me. Later on, I worked too much, and stressed too much. I sewed and crafted, and that I would like to be back doing. I still do dishes, and laundry and watch some television. I sometimes write. I never have cared for talking on the phone. I did take a walk today. I used to walk more.

I worked on the phone for nearly thirty years! When I would get home I hated to get back on the phone but people would call and I would set there. Ya, I worked too much too and stressed over what I feared was going on with my granddaughter while I was working. I finally had to quit work. Slept alot too. Depression really does a number on a person. Makes them wonder where alot of time went.

I did my laundry before I sat down to go online. My laundry has been piling up and I have been a little busy lately to really do it. Before that, I was watching TV. But since I could not find anything interesting to watch, I just did my laundry. I also baked some muffins to take to work tomorrow as my lunch or snack.

Oh yes, I do remember, I washed dishes/clothes, I watched tv, I clean the house, I wrote letters and poems. I talked on the phone, on the weekends we went to the woods and went on walks or the lake and camping. Now, I still clean house, wash dishes/clothes, I watch tv, I write less letters because of the arthritis, I don't have many people around to talk on the phone with, I'm not well enough to go on walks or to the lake and camping anymore so I thank goodness I have the computer to have my "window to the world" so I can talk to others. The tv is mostly reruns. The movies they say are "new" are mostly remakes that I have seen before. My grandchildren say, it's new grandma it has not been on tv before. To which I reply, yes it has many years ago hun, because I saw it a long time ago. I'm very glad to have my computer. Oh, I know some people have let things go because they have a computer. They get up and straighter to the computer they go and they are on it all day. They let the house go. Others won't get out and look for work because they are always on the computer. If only they would think about it they could get a job being on the computer.

Hey celtic! I would have think that I got alot more stuff done than I do now! I spend entirely too much time online and it just helps add to my already procrastinative personality! I think that I also interacted with people more often too, but I can't really say I miss that much! Most of my neighbors are just plain too nosy and in everyone's business anyway! It's different in the Summer because that's when most people are out and about enjoying the weather. At this time of year with the Winter weather the way it's been I am very thankful for the Internet! I don't spend as much time watching tv as I used to, but I don't think I'm missing much, am I?

WIth my social anxiety I sure agree with you. I have become totally reclusive. It is much easier to interact with people online.

I read more books back then and found it hard to stay at home sometimes. Like I needed to go out somewhere than just staying home and watching TV.

I used to watch tv (still do now) and took care of my babies. Now that they have grown up, I have some extra time to fill for myself. Instead of going shopping, which I really really like, I tried to explore the net and find out that I really really like to shop online as well, lol.

I haven't read a book in so long. I am usually online doing research and that is my reading. I got disillusioned by an author I liked coming out with a second series. It wasn't very good and I haven't read a book since.
