Hi friends
I always used to wonder that people who stay happy are less prone to illness and any kind of disease and vice versa. I just watched a movie called Patch Adams. In this movie, the Patch, the central character used to believe in so called Happiness theory in treatment of his patients. This story is based on his real life experience.
When you are happy, your pituitary gland releases a hormone called endorphine, which relieves you from pain and stress and helps improve immunity and treatment of particular disease.
So, guys, do you believe in this theory or have you ever tried this or do you follow such kind of positive attitude when you are down or ill?
Thanks,
P.S.: Smile plays a major role in keeping you healthy, even when you are going through downtime in your life.w

They say that having a pet helps with this. I think any kind of positive feeling for me makes me happy. I don't smile because I have bad teeth. Alot of lack of positive, happy, or smiley in my life. So I don't get much endorphines going. I figure my life is shortened by it. I try. Patch was a great movie. Anything with Rob in it is good.

Laugh, laugh. laugh and send the doctors away! This is what I read in one article about being happy makes one healthy. Yes, I think it's true, when people laugh, we release enzymes that lifts up feelings. Happy feelings results in more anti-oxidant cells in our blood system thus keeping guard against production of the dreaded free-radicals. Less free-radicals in the cells, keeps one healthy and free of diseases . So I think one must always be happy, don't worry too much and keeps on smiling! If all the people are happy and smiling, this whole world would be happy place to live!

Staying happy makes me feel look younger. It gives me a positive outlook in life too and it seems to me that difficulties when they come, seemed lighter if you always have a happy disposition.
