There is so much on the internet these days about diets and what to eat but most of the time when they do tell you what to eat most people would not even have that kinda thing or even eat that much everyone always says eat healthy to me but its kinda hard when everyone gives me 1000 different type of foods etc. What do you eat and be realistic please i dont understand people might have more money then others so they can afford alot of food but what about people like me who cant afford much what do you suggest?

I'm Filipino and rice is a big part of our diet. It's where we usually get our carbs. I for one include rice in all my meals, even breakfast. I eat it with all kinds of meat dishes. For me, basically food is healthy. It's the manner of cooking it or the preservatives used that makes it unhealthy.

Hi. Yes, it's a tossup between the so called experts. I guess too much of it would be bad but in moderation, I really can't see why it would be.

I am so confused with what ecactly is classed as healthy, one day they say one thing and the next day some one else says it is not healthy...so I always think you can't go wrong with slads and I don't care what the experts say, I believe potato is one of the best things you can eat....but I do try not to fry the potato, I just jab a potato a few times and put it in a bowl with a little water and cook it in the microwave for 6minutes, and then when cooked put a little of the good margaring that helps lower cholesterol...it is all very confusing...

Are you asking what one should eat to keep both body and pocketbook healthy? Here are my suggestions for foods that are both inexpensive and nutritious. 1. Eggs are an inexpensive source of protein. 2. Oatmeal is not only a very good breakfast cereal, but it can also be incorporated into other dishes. I use it in meatloaf, in soups, and in desserts. 3. Dried beans and peas are good sources of protein, and are very inexpensive if you cook them yourself. 4. Buy fruits and vegetables that are in season. If you can, search the roadsides for eatable greens. My husband likes dandelion greens. They grow wild all over the country. In some parts of the country, collards grow wild. Cabbage doesn't grow wild, but it's usually fairly cheap. I always add cabbage to vegetable soup. It adds flavor and vitamins. Don't ever over cook it, though. 5. To save money, use meat principally to flavor other dishes. Grains and vegetables are nearly always cheaper than meat. Learn to use organ meats and other less distinguished parts of the animal or fowl. In our part of the country, chicken is relatively cheap, if you use the dark meat. We like chicken liver, which is cheap and all meat - no waste. I like the gizzards, also, but my husband has trouble chewing them.

Hello babylucy2008, I eat bananas and yogurt on regular basis and soup from campbells or other brands and cereal in the morning. Dinner at night is some sort of meat, potatoes and sald and vegetable either fresh or in frozen in a bag. On the weekend it maybe sandwiches or pizza and nice sunday dinner like a roast or whole chicken etc... Thanks and have a great night Sincerrely unique16

I eat very normal food everyday. Like rice with some curry or beans. And sometime i take hot water which is good for health. So i suggest you to eat vegetable everyday which is very very essential for our body and the test is also very good. You can eat any of the vegetable item to your food menu.

I will go for rice. Since rice is our main dish I would say rice.Eat it with other side-dishes, hmmm...delicious!Even if some other people will avoid themselves from rice, but I can not be separated with rice.I will feel hungry if I do not eat rice.

My diet is pretty balanced with some meat and plenty vegetables. In addition, I drink a lot of juices to keep myself very hydrated - I am feeding my baby so I need fluid a lot. If you are talking about money issue, how about you eat more pasta, when we are cash short on food, I make more pasta, use less meat and make more sauces.

I do try to eat healthy. Weetabix in a morning, banana, apples and oranges throght the day, with a sandwich made of wholemeal bread with chicken, spinach tomato and cucumber on, for tea I have steak or pork chops or lamb, with brocoli, peas, carrots and sprouts. healthy yes. However come the weekend then is goes out of the window. Full english breakfast usually , followed by a take away meal for tea and usually plenty of larger. Must not forget the Sunday roast either. Lovely. By the way my shopping bill has gone up by £80 a month over the last year or so. The take aways and larger will soon be a thing of the past. My Mum makes me my Full english and Sunday Roast, so that saves me money as well.

I agree that there are suggested kinds of diet which are beyond the means of average-income people. One of them is the Southbeach diet. I heard celebrities ordering these pre-prepared meals at a cost. Eating right doesn't have to be expensive. I always try to stick to the food guide pyramid. I make sure that I eat food from the different food groups in proper amount. For breakfast, I have cereals or pancakes topped with fruits then coffee or milk. Sometimes, I just have plain fruits and green tea. I cut down on sugar, fat, and sodium, which means eating less of sweets like cakes and pastries, oily food like fries, junk food which is loaded with sodium. In terms of meat, I rarely eat red meat such as pork and beef. I get much of my protein from chicken, fish, and vegetables.
