so i was wondering why is it that in the US the driver's side is on the left side but opposite in other countries? Where did it all begin? Who was the first to say in which side the driver was supposed to drive? What side did the first car have the drive in?

People in different countries sit either on the right or left depending on the system the country follows. For in stance you are mentioning that in the U.S you are used to sit on the left hand side of the car. This indicates that U.S follows right hand drive.Whereas we in India sit on the right side of the car, this indicates we follow left hand drive.Countries either follow left or right hand drive, hence the drivers are situated either on the left or the right side of the car.

I think the person who started it was going off of a natural feeling. Sort of like left hand people and right hand people. That might be something we can look into. ?Was the person who came up with the driving on right side righted handed and was the person who came up with driving on the left side left handed?

I think it's on the left side, so we can see where the road is divided better...lol...well, it might not be true, but it is a good guess. I would probably guess that FORD decided where the driver was going to sit, because he developed the first american car. My first car that I had was on the left side :)
