Sonic games these days...

Has anyone else noticed there aren't many GOOD Sonic games coming out recently? I mean, I know one of the most recent Sonic games "Sonic 4" was popular among the Sonic fans, but the games SEGA "Thought" they'd be good were Sonic Unleashed & Sonic The Hedgehog (2006). The main problem of Sonic Unleash was the fact that Sonic was a big slow werehog at night. Sonic is famous for is speed and the werehog thing wasn't working. And Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) was SUPPOSE to be the ultimate Sonic game...I don't know ALL the info on why that game sucked, the game play was decent enough, maybe it was just the story line. And as for Sonic Colors...I don't know, I haven't looked into that game yet.
But I want YOUR opinion on Sonic games these days. Do you think they are...
Great
Good
Okay
Bad
Awful

They are different that's all. Sonic has evolved with gaming, and the cries are mostly because the old fans are adults now, and they just can't accept that Sonic isn't meant to be pitched at them.
with That said, I really enjoyed Secret Rings, Unleashed, and Colors!
I think Sonic Adventure was one of the best sonic games ever!!!

I think Sonic games today are okay. Have you played sonic adventure 1&2? I think if they make another Sonic Adventure, Sonic would be more popular today.

The newer ones just keep getting worse. And the problem is that if SEGA try to make a classic Sonic game, people will say it's either a rubbish remake or outdated and they're just trying to make money from an old franchise. I think they need to make a continious Sonic storyline, instead of changing the whole gameplay type for each game. It's a massive gamble, and SEGA have missed out on the jackpot.
