Does the sunshine make you feel happier than the rain?
How do you make yourself feel better on a dreary, cold, rainy day?

It's raining ... and yet, it's not the first time it rains, but it's the first time I feel the rain penetrates the skin ... I feel like stench of burning and burned up in the air.
It's raining ... and yet, why should I care? ... Not the first time ... and yet when it rains, the rain that hurts ... I think the hardest and most penetrating rain in my life ...
Regret is raining ... raining ... raining accusations unrequited love and broken hearts ... It is raining and will not stop ... and it hurts even more with every drop that touches my face ... I feel as if I break from the rain ... as I wait to join the mud on foot ... to be one with him ... to be forgotten and at the same time, to be present everywhere deafening tune ... still waiting to hear how not to cry around me ... voices ringing out of tune guitars, pianos ... tormented by beginners who struggle to get out from under piles of dust ... and I be happier!
Waiting to see lightning flash may not be sad ... I do not see her face in the mirror ... and I'd be happy!
I want to slip going on muddy ground and not raise me that can not walk through the wilderness full of memories ... and I'd be so happy!
And would it be? ... Rain continues to fall, but my soul remains intact pain ... dirty ...
There can not see ... hear ... can not go and still hurts ... and outside, rain ...

The weather has been changing day to day. It gets very cold, snow, cloudy, and gloomy on some days. That really makes me feel gloomy too. The weather certainly influences the mind. When the sun comes out, bright and shining, oh, that;s the day I feel so refreshed and happy. That would be the day I would go out to one of my favorite restaurants and enjoy a nice buffet lunch with my friends !

The sun always puts me in a great mood, no matter how dismal other things are...just the sun shining brightens my day. If it is gloomy and rainy outside...then I feel gloomy. I love the summer months!! More daylight, more sunshine...means more happiness :)

I think all people are affected by weather changes. It can lighten the mood or darken it depending on the effect of the weather condition. There are places which are terribly hot and it can make people feel irritable. On the other hand, there are places which are cool but not snowing much that people finds that living there makes them feel happy or lively. Personally, rain makes me feel better than sunshine. It gives an energizing feeling and cleanses the air after a good shower.

Hi mark,
I used to get the blues when I don't see the sun for days on end. It makes me feel real down that I had to stay indoors and lie in bed to pass the day away. I always welcome a bright, sunny morning as if I feel so energetic by soaking in the early morning sunshine.
Now, it seems to have changed. I am no longer affected by a rainy day even if it takes all week. Maybe it is my preoccupation with the keyboard whenever it rains. I found the computer a good indoor activity whenever I can't see the sun. I also love reading books on rainy days or just staring at the falling rain on the window and thinking about the plants drinking, growing and bearing fruits that I may be able to eat someday. This attitude took a turn many years back after a long dry spell where everywhere was brown and there was not enough food to eat for everyone.
Or maybe, I have just outgrown my seasonal affective disorder (SAD) syndrome after all.

weather does not affect my mood. whether it is raining or sunny or cold it will not affect my mood. everything happens for a purpose and we can't control the weather. whether we like it or not we can't stop it whatever we do. if it rains i just stay at home and surfing the net and it feels good.

Both make me feel really good. I enjoy all settings in nature, as their all beautiful and necessary to really appreciate the others. To me rain represents almost a cleansing feeling and I feel really compelled to do something out of the ordinary that I would love to do. Sunshine really makes me want to enjoy life in the moment and do yoga/meditation. Really gives me a bright and energetic feeling.
