I was wondering whether laughter or any other psychologically pleasing emotion, can actually help you heal faster.

Laughter or even just a smile changes the chemicals in our brains. This helps attract positive energy which helps with healing.

I think it can, I love to smile and I love to laugh. I think just laughing in general can put us in a better mood, especially when we are laughing with good friends.

Have heard all my life that laughter is the best medicine. I believe this is true. This is why I also believe in jokes. Who can't like a funny joke that makes someone laugh? I meet a friend for lunch as often as possible. All we do is laugh and I leave the restaurant feeling like my day is complete.

Laughter balances life in this stressful and fast-pacing world. At work, we're under staff with so many tasks working on. We tend to get so frustrated before and to the extent that we unleash the dragon in us and whined till we learned the art of balancing life at work by laughing a lot while working. In this way we forget the heavy load of all the rush tasks we're working on. And life becomes easier and we attract positive vibes most of the time. :)

I believe that laughter heals the soul. The proof is in how you feel after you have a good laugh. Have you ever laughed so hard you thought your might cry. It feels good right. Laughing is good for your health.
I also remember reading an article where a woman said she cured her cancer by laughing. She said for months she would only watch comedy movies on television.
Can I prove that laughter heals? No. But it would sure make a difference in your attitude toward life.

I think people who laugh a lot suffer less health issues. As laughter is good for the brain and body. It reduces stress and when you laugh, your heart rate increases. It makes you more alert and your lungs stretch and air out. The skeletal muscles loosen and relax. So I do believe that laughter heals.
