you can put it like that. Love is selfish because it relates very strongly with yourSELF. Your lover is an important part in your life and we usually wants things like that to stay private. I don't think love is selfish in a bad way, though. Some things should stay for our inner selfs, in my opinion.

Yes i agree with you. Love some time become so selfish. And it's not a good attitude at all. As you love your lover so you can expect that he loves you lot or only you but it should not without his family or parents. I mean he can do love his parents also. and he is only your is not selfishness. It's your love for him. But i saw some people who try to do that the partner will loves him/her only can't love his family member and want to dominate i think it's not a sign of love. Some people calculate the things that what did i do for my partner so i should get back it anyhow otherwise no relation it's not a love.Love means respect,understanding and trust. Where one is missing there true love is missing.We should understand our lover situation,emotion and responsibility also.We should respect our lover and should understand what they want from us. And we should trust them.In my opinion it calls love otherwise it's not love just a relationship where love is not exist.
