Is Ebay your real friend?

I got refunded 2 or three times, and I was a newbie back then I have a good reputation as well and the reason I requested a refund is because the items were not as listed and I didnt want to waste my cash so I respectfully requested a refund of my cash and got it. As for ebay being my friend not so much because I had 3 disappointing and shady experiences with sellers on the site, and these were so called top sellers. so I'm not as enthusiastic about ebay anymore, I still use the site occasionally but I prefer Amazon instead most of my experiences with them have been good.

I am an Ebay user since Ebay is available in France -- they bought the auction site where I was before -- ; I had very few problems and I am a happy buyer -- I don't sell anything --. If every seller has to have a PayPal address, they generally say at 90% "I don't want PayPal from French users." So, you have to pay by check, and you can't get any refund. In fact it is not legal in my country to impose a payment processor. To do it Ebay said that the site was under US law, but it is not valid for a French court, so Ebay tolerates that sellers not use PayPal in France. So you have only the possibility to get a refund from Ebay : I have never tried, but I read that it was difficult.

I can't call paypal as friend, no question of real or fake!! i tried to buy few times, kept bidding, at the last moment, i was told, it was sold, i had some doubts; i asked to a friend who sells in ebay, he said they have kind of software, they set it to some predetermined amount, if none go that high, then it automatically says, it is sold!! I love ebay. I buy lots of things from them. I think the refund is offered to everyone regardless of how long or how often they used ebay. It is just a matter of good business practice. If a seller sends you something different from what you have purchased ie. the item is different from what the seller describes (like fake mobile described as original,etc), or seller did not send you the item after you have paid for it, or the item arrives broken, etc. All these are grounds for refund. You just have to file a dispute case with ebay telling the reason. Sometimes I think that there are too many sellers selling fake or counterfeit products. I always make sure I get the right one. And if I cannot get what I want or the seller's description is not enough to convince me, I just look for another. I always try to buy from a seller with good ratings, but I will not hesitate to buy from someone with low ratings. I usually check the feedback first to see what caused their low ratings. Sometimes it so happened that some idiot just leave them negative feedback. Just the other night, I was looking at a seller's feedbacks and one of the negative feedbacks mentioned the item arrived broken and next to it, a note saying 'The seller replaced the broken goods'. I think that is just so unfair. Why cannot the customer wait a few days to hear from the seller before leaving negative feedback.

I think that Ebay is a good e-commercial site.

I have very seldom had to get a refund on any eBay purchases. I had bought many items without any problems by the couple of times I needed ebay's help in receiving a refund although the seller did not want to refund me. EBay took charge and I received my refund without any more problems. EBay is very fair and I do not think whether a person is a new customer or a long time buyer makes any difference in getting refund but whether you deserve a refund or not.

i like the policy that ebay has for giving refunds but it really gives a hard time to sellers sometimes. i have gotten refunds for stuff that i have bought and hasnt shown up too.

Ebay is so professional.

HI kirtricks: I have only experimented this same experience once and I've been a member of ebay for almost two years. Ebay has always been a good help for me so I'd say that the answer is yes. At the same time I try to buy items only to the persons that have been selling items for a while and have a good reputation. If you are careful I think you won't have a bad experience buying on ebay. You have to be careful about these things and check out the sellers ratings before you buy anything from them.

Any claim on Ebay might happen because of many sellers, both top rated sellers and low rated sellers. From my experience in Ebay, if I want to buy something I will always look for top rated sellers to prevent me from any unprecedented cases, such as undelivered items. I have been purchasing items from Ebay since two years ago, but no bad things happen. Ebay consists of hundreds or maybe thousands sellers worldwide, so make sure you will choose credible sellers. It will show up in a gold medal-like symbol with words "top rated seller." Hope that helps.

I am a beginner at ebay. I have so far bought 3 items one of them didn't come, due to new years. Even though I was disappointed that my item didn't come I did get a refund. I suppose it just depend on the seller. It can be your best friend or your worst enemy.

I recently purchased a hula hoop made to order online. The seller made it in 3 days and shipped it on the next. She sent me a little instructional video on how to unfold it. I saved at least 50 dollars. I received it and its just as I wanted and the glow in the dark tape is excellent. This time ebay worked well for me.
