For me i personally think that anime is one of the best thing out their. some have great art while some suck but when you compare reading manga to watching anime fighting scene is much better. My favorite anime is obviously Japanese art.

I tihnk anime is ok. It is sometimes funny but I like the action ones most. They have best scenes compared to cartoons here in US. Cartoons are funny but they just havent reached the level of maturity that I like. Ive seen spongebob squarepants and its funny and I can see all the things a kid wouldnt understand if they were to watch it. But anime is best because it is for older people and they directly show what they want to show. For example right now I am watching Panty & Stocking it is so sexy that I like it lol. You should watch it and tell your friends all about it because they probably like it.

I love animation especially Japanese animation. The artworks are really intensive and impressive, and the stories are really good. As for Disney animations, they could be a movie not just for kids but for the whole family. I really love the Toy Story movies because I grew up with it. I think when Toy Story 3 came out, the theaters were filled with grown ups/young adults whose childhood memories included Toy Story 1 and 2. It's amazing how people could tell wonderful and powerful stories (uhm...I think many cried in Toy Story 3) through animation that some movies with real actors can't do. Too bad your friends and senior who think anime are for children don't like anime or at least Disney. It's good to have an inner child and I don't want to ever lose that.

I like Disney and Pixar animations. Some of the animated films made by Disney and Pixar are not only geared toward children but for adults as well. The Pixar film 'Up' is for all ages. I'm not that much of a fan of Japanese anime though. Don't get wrong, it great for some but sometimes I just find it a little bit 'se xual'. The costumes and the way some portray females as damsel in distress and as a person who is just about 'that' is offensive to me.

animations can sometimes have elements that can't be found with live action, and anything is really possible so it's amazing. It think anime kind of ruined animation by not being animated well and the constant blinking is very monotonous. It's usually repetitive and hurts my eyes

when you watch it, yes sometimes its for kids. but at the back of that there are so many principles to understand like doing and how the animation made. the logic of every scene and the story. another thing is the lessons which many old adult people forgotten. lets go back to basic.

I agree completely - I love cartoons. Many of them are appropriate for adults and kids, with stuff the kids will like and stuff the adults can appreciate. I haven't gotten into anime too much, but I've seen some that are gorgeous. Maybe you just need to share a few with your coworkers.

I love anime, the story and different range of art. It is like a movie with pictures instead of live actors. There are story for all type of people like there are books.
