I made myself a wine cooler.
Afterward I was talking to the roomie and Oliver wanted to jump up.
I handed the glass off to the roomie while I caught him.
Once he was settled, she handed it back.
He sniffed it, took a lick, and proceeded to jump down. He attacked her feet, then another cat, her feet again, then another cat...
One little lick!
Is Oliver a cheap, mean drunk?

Nah, he didn't get drunk on a single lick. I doubt that he even had enough to swallow. Probably didn't like the taste. Cats can be weird sometimes. Mine will go running through the house for no apparent reason at all and I'd swear she is chasing ghosts. So maybe Oliver got tweaked by one of the ghosts.

Sure sounds like a cheap mean drunk to me. LOL We need to get him together with my neighbour here in the building, who is also a cheap mean drunk. LOL Oliver might make a nice sidekick for him. haha Is he, by chance, an orange cat? My husband told me once that all orange cats are CRAZY!!!!

He's either a mean, cheap drunk or he REALLY didn't like that taste!
I'd say he was just very surprised at the taste and reacted like he would with any other kind of unpleasant surprise.
My husband's cat, literally the meanest cat on the planet, I'm positive she sometimes just THINKS of something she doesn't like and starts attacking anything nearby including, unfortunately, my feet.
Cats are bizarre sometimes. It's either that or they're taking advantage of those nice, sharp claws they have when attempting to prove their dominance.
Personally, my favorite "cat" thing is when they are outside in the grass, snooping around and quite suddenly jump a foot off the ground without crouching first. I'd LOVE to know how they do that!

my brother brought a cat home from college and mom fell in love with her, and Cat adored mom
She had a litter of kittens, and we kept one, Suky.
Suky could JUMP anything, she always landed on her feet, she was graceful despite being the larger of the 2 cats.
Cat, however, was a TOTAL klutz!
I saw her fall off a window sill (inside fortunately), fall off an ironing board and fall off a bed, and she didn't even come CLOSE to landing on her feet!

We should get Zhaan and Bitsy together to see who is meaner but that could be considered animal abuse. Would serve 'em right, though!
Thanks for clearing that up for me... springs hidden in their feet! I should have thought of that. Makes perfect sense!
One of my kitties many years back was once sleeping on the outside windowsill of our living room. The ground was about 4 feet below. He looked so peaceful and content then he stretched and rolled over. I know you're already picturing what happened. Yep, he rolled right off the sill and out of sight. I ran over to the window and looked down to see him sitting as pretty as you please and licking a paw. He looked up at me and I SWEAR he was saying "Yeah, I meant to do that. You have a problem with that?" I laughed myself silly!
Cats are never boring!

maybe theres some catnip in the ingredients. just kidding. makes me think of when my one son had a parrot and it would sit on his shoulder while he drank and nip him now and then for a taste, till it would just go to sleep and hed stick it in the cage. id tell him you are going to kill that parrot and hed say but he wont stop till he gets some. he ended up giving it to his step daughter so it wouldnt want to drink with him any more. which made me wonder if thats what those parrots did on the shoulders of old drinking pirates.

I would't think he could get drunk from just one lick. He probably didn't like the taste and was mad that "his mommy" was drinking it. If it had been milk he may not have reacted like that. Or maye her feet just reminded him of something he didn't like. Cats act so weird sometimes it would be interesting to know what they are thinking.
