is sand very important for a plant, or it is good for plant ? Does seed germinate in sand only ? What quantity of sand should be used with earth for a pot ? Actually i want to know how to prepare seed starter soil mixture ? And idle soil mixture for a plant ? Pebbles or stone are also used for this mixture ? And what about the soil mixture for bonsai ? Everything , i am talking about is for plants in the pot.

Seed starting mix: 2 parts peat, 1 part perlite, 1 part sand or pumice
Using sand depends upon what you are wanting to plant. Succulents and cacti need more sand than other plants. A basic organic soil mix would need less.
A good reference would be to just call your county extension office.
