What do you like to talk about?

I have a few different post on here and on a few other websites. I post things about my kids, my ridiculus headaches I've had for 10 days now, my job, my husband, Jersey Shore and my phone. Some topics get good response and others get nothing. I'm learning that everyone else is sick of my headaches as I am, no one else on earth watches Jersey Shore, everyone wants to talk about a lying spouse, everyone has had a crappy supervisor and kids are just funny. I'm not interested in starting political discussions or religious discussions because they are both sore spots for me. I think if everyone did what I think they should do and get on my schedule everything would be fine, but other people don't think like that. So, having said ALL of this what's a good discussion starter. I'm new to this.

I think you are already doing fine with starting discussions on topics that you either know about or are familiar with but since you said you are new here, maybe you would do well to start a discussion asking some things about Mylot that you do not know yet.
I do not start very many discussions but I do respond to some that are either interesting to me or are easy to answer. I only get to be on here a few minutes here and there now that I am back to work, so I have to stick to responding to discussions that won't take me a very long time to do. Also, I am shy, so I don't want to respond to difficult or profound type discussions in case someone would make fun of me or something.

Thank you for your suggestion. I'm not shy, but I don't like confrontation or to upset anyone. In forums it's easy to misinterpret as you don't get the tone and inflection of the other person. So many things get lost in translation and I never want to offend or seem like I'm being ugly. That's just not my style. So, I understand not wanting to reply to certain things.

I liked very much to read about other people cultures and habits. I love differences. And I like to know new countries and places to visit too. I like to know. I think that know a culture help to avoid misunderstanding and intollerance.

MyLot is a huge community with members from countries around the world. I am always interested to learn about the countries, cultures, and traditions of different countries. I like to talk about and I like to know about places of interests in the countries, the festivals, languages, ways of life, and so on. My Lot is a very unique community to learn from one another and exchange experiences.
